Filter apparatus for a motor vehicle, and method for operating such a filter apparatus

A filter apparatus for a motor vehicle is provided. The filter apparatus includes a delivery device, which is provided in addition to a ventilation system of the motor vehicle and can be operated independently of the ventilation system for drawing in and delivering air from the interior of the motor vehicle. The filter apparatus includes at least one filter element, through which can flow the air drawn in and delivered by the delivery device for filtering the air. The filter apparatus includes at least one outlet for introducing the air filtered by way of the filter element into the interior. The filter apparatus is designed to wirelessly receive at least one signal emitted by a terminal and to activate the delivery device based on the signal.

Vehicle component

A vehicle component (1) has a lid (2) for closing a trunk (102). The lid (2) has an air duct opening (3) for letting in and/or letting out an air flow to or from an air duct (4). The air duct opening (3) has a visual screen installation (5) with two visual screen elements (15, 25) formed with passage openings (6). The passage openings (6) are disposed to be mutually offset so that a view into the air duct opening (3) is restricted.

AIR PURGING SYSTEM

A vehicle air purging system includes a vehicle body that defines an interior. A support member is coupled to the vehicle body. The support member defines a receiving cavity. The support member defines an aperture proximate the receiving cavity. A one-way valve is coupled to the support member and is disposed within the aperture. A fan is coupled to the support member. The fan includes an outlet aligned with the aperture. A controller is operably coupled to the fan. The controller is configured to activate the fan to blow air from the interior to an area external to the vehicle body through the one-way valve.

Systems and methods for cabin air quality control

Methods and apparatus are provided for controlling an air quality within a passenger cabin. The method includes outputting one or more control signals, by a processor, to activate a motor to generate an airflow stream for observation by a fine particulate matter sensor, the fine particulate matter sensor generating sensor signals based on the observation; determining a concentration level of fine particulate matter in the airflow based on the sensor signals; and outputting one or more control signals to an air quality system associated with the passenger cabin to generate an airflow into the passenger cabin based on the determined concentration level, the airflow into the passenger cabin flowing through a fine particulate matter filter.

Vehicle ventilation system

A motor vehicle ventilation system configured to ventilate a cabin of the vehicle. The ventilation system comprises a duct extending about a perimeter of the vehicle cabin, at least one air flow inducer configured to induce a flow of air through the duct, the duct comprising an air inlet to receive a bulk flow of air from the flow inducer, and a first opening that extends about the perimeter of the vehicle cabin and that receives air from the duct. The first opening is configured to expel air into the vehicle cabin. The ventilation system further comprises a second opening that extends about the perimeter of the vehicle cabin and that draws air in from the vehicle cabin into a passage extending about the perimeter of the vehicle cabin, wherein a flow through the first opening entrains a flow from the second opening.

VEHICLE, AND PASSENGER COMPARTMENT INTERIOR CLEANING DEVICE

A vehicle has: a communicating portion that communicates a passenger compartment interior with a passenger compartment exterior; a discharging device that, by operating, discharging at least one of dust or liquid which is within the passenger compartment through the communicating portion to the passenger compartment exterior; and a control section that, in a case of judging that there are no vehicle occupants within the passenger compartment, operates the discharging device, and causes dust within the passenger compartment to be discharged to the passenger compartment exterior.

Vehicle with cargo bed incorporating airflow intake and discharge ducts

A vehicle includes a first wall defining a portion of a cargo bed of the vehicle. The first wall has an opening. The vehicle also includes at least one duct having a first opening, a second opening, and an airflow passage extending between the first and second openings. The at least one duct first opening is in fluid communication with the opening in the first wall. An airflow regulation mechanism is operably coupled to the at least one duct first opening and is configured to enable control of an air flow into the at least one duct first opening.

Method for controlling a ventilation system for a vehicle interior

A method is provided for pressure equalization when shutting a vehicle door or tailgate, wherein the door or tailgate is designed to close an opening into a vehicle interior, in particular to enable loading or unloading or entering or exiting. An airflow can be conveyed into the vehicle interior from outside the motor vehicle interior through an air inlet opening via an air inlet system. The air inlet opening can be closed via a closure device. The method detects a vehicle standstill mode; detects an opened vehicle door or tailgate; controls the closure device of the air inlet opening; and opens the air inlet opening.

Vehicle passenger compartment vent structure

A rear wall structure of a passenger compartment includes a vent opening and a horizontally extending seal protruding in a vehicle forward direction. A trim panel has a rear surface facing the rear wall structure. A vertically extending seal extends from the rear surface. With the trim panel installed to the rear wall structure the vertically extending seal contacts the rear wall structure, and, the horizontally extending seal of the rear wall structure contacts the rear surface of the trim panel such that the rear surface and the vertically extending seal of the trim panel and the upright interior surface and the horizontally extending seal of the rear wall structure define an air outlet passageway that extends from an opening in the trim panel to the vent opening.
