Method for a vehicle climate control system
An air-conditioning system is provided for a motor vehicle. That system includes a vacuum enclosure having a refrigerant, a first section and a second section. The system further includes a radiator, a core and a phase change material vessel downstream from the core. A conduit and valve system operate the air-conditioning system in two modes of operation.
Exhaust gas flow control system for a metal hydride air conditioning unit
An exhaust gas flow control system disclosed relates to the field of mechanical engineering. The system reduces exhaust gas back pressure exerted on an internal combustion engine and prevents excessive heat loss in a radiator. The system comprises a flow regulator connected to an outlet of a silencer and configured to selectively direct the flow of exhaust gases to a metal hydride heat pump and/or a tailpipe. The flow of exhaust gases is directed towards the metal hydride heat pump in case of increased cooling requirement in the vehicle, and to the tailpipe in case of no cooling requirement or maintenance of the metal hydride heat pump. In case of reduced cooling requirement, partial flow of exhaust gases is directed to the metal hydride heat pump and the remaining to the tailpipe. A diverter is configured within the flow regulator to selectively direct the flow of exhaust gases.
Absorption heat pump device
An absorption heat pump device includes a heat exchange unit through which a heat exchange fluid flows, a rotor that includes a hollow rotary shaft member including a first internal flow path and discharges a solution in the first internal flow path by a centrifugal force, and an application member that moves with rotation of the rotor to apply the solution, which flows through the first internal flow path and is discharged, along a heat transfer surface of the heat exchange unit.
AIR CONDITIONER FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
An air conditioner for the air conditioning of the passenger compartment of a vehicle of the type provided with an internal combustion engine and with a tank adapted to contain a fuel for supplying the engine, includes an absorption refrigeration unit.
The absorption refrigeration unit includes a refrigeration circuit adapted to contain a fluid compound and has at least one evaporator arranged in thermal communication with the passenger compartment of the vehicle, and a burner supplied by the fuel contained in the tank of the vehicle, arranged in thermal communication with the refrigeration circuit and configured to heat the fluid compound so as to cause the evaporation of at least part of it by making it circulate in the refrigeration circuit toward the evaporator.
Leakage Sensor, Heating Unit, Absorption Cooling Device, Vehicle Including the Absorption Cooling Device and Method for Operating the Same
A leakage sensor for a heating unit of an absorption cooling device for a recreational vehicle, a heating unit, an absorption cooling device, a vehicle and a method for operating an absorption cooling device are provided. The leakage sensor uses sensor pins to detect cooling fluid leaking from the boiler of the heating unit of the absorption cooling device into the boiler insulation by measuring the electrical resistance and/or conductivity within the boiler insulation.
VEHICLE REFRIGERATOR
The present disclosure relates to a vehicle refrigerator, which comprises a body, a refrigerating system and a driving system; the refrigerating system and the driving system are both arranged in the body; the body is removable in a trunk of a vehicle; the driving system is used for driving the refrigerating system to operate normally and comprises an igniter, an air course and an air source, and the igniter is connected with the air source through the air course; and the refrigerating system is used for cooling an inner cavity of the body and is provided with a working medium capable of changing gas and liquid.
Method and system for maximizing the thermal properties of a thermoelectric cooler and use therewith in association with hybrid cooling
A cooling system including a first cooling apparatus thermally exposed to a space to be cooled. The cooling system further includes a second cooling apparatus thermally exposed to the space to be cooled and thermally exposed to the first cooling apparatus. Heat discharged from the second cooling apparatus powers the first cooling apparatus.
Heating and cooling system for a vehicle
A heating and cooling system for a vehicle having an internal combustion engine is provided. The system comprises at least one exhaust pipe conveying exhaust gases away from the engine, and a reactor vessel located in the exhaust pipe and containing an absorbent salt and a refrigerant fluid. A condenser is in fluid communication with the reactor vessel, and receives refrigerant vapour from the reactor when exhaust gases heat the reactor vessel in the exhaust pipe. An evaporator is locatable in a cab of the vehicle and is in fluid communication with the condenser and the reactor vessel. The evaporator receives condensed refrigerant from the condenser so as to cool the air surrounding the evaporator, and returning refrigerant vapour to the reactor vessel. A method of cooling a driver environment of a vehicle having an internal combustion engine is also provided, as is a vehicle incorporating the heating and cooling system.
Control system for a metal hydride air conditioner and a method thereof
A control system as disclosed in the present disclosure relates to the field of metal hydride air conditioning systems in vehicles. The control system improves cooling capacity and the coefficient of performance of the metal hydride air conditioner. The control system comprises a plurality of sensors, a memory, a time counter, a controller, and at least one actuator. The controller takes into account the pre-set half cycle time as well as the temperature of the exhaust gases at the outlet of a HT or LT reactor for changing fluid flow, i.e. from hot/cold fluid to the fluid at ambient temperature or vice versa, entering the reactors of the metal hydride air conditioner.
