DIGITAL AROMA DISPERSION SYSTEM FOR PREDICTING AND MITIGATING MOTION SICKNESS
The present invention is directed to a digital aroma system that provides a scented air on demand in a vehicle to prevent or mitigate nausea. Fragrance cartridges are held in a fragrance module having a manifold and valves that are controlled by a processor. The system can open valves to direct an airflow through an anti-nausea fragrance cartridge in response to a user input, detected location of prior nausea, or detected nausea inducing vehicle motions.
Fragrancing system for a motor vehicle
A fragrancing system may include at least one cartridge for storing a fragrance and at least one closing mechanism. The cartridge may have a cartridge opening. The closing mechanism may include a flap, a shaft, a lever, and a pin. The flap may be displacable via the shaft to a closed position, in which the flap closes the cartridge opening, and an open position, in which the flap frees the cartridge opening. The fragrancing system may further include an actuating mechanism, which may have a disc rotatable via an actuator. A cam plate structure may project axially from the disc. The pin may be arranged on a radially outward facing outer side of the cam plate structure when the flap is in the closed position and may be engaged with a recess of the cam plate structure when the flap is in the open position.

The air delivery duct is configured with a filter and is capable of supplying the air from the environment into the room that is capable of being closed and equipped with at least one measurement device that is capable of measuring the air pressure and/or temperature, and/or moisture, and/or a number of impurities therein, and coupled to the control device, while the control device is capable of regulating the airflow rate supplied from the air output and delivery ducts depending on parameters of the at least one measurement device.

AUTOMATIC CAR AIR FRESHENER
An automatic car air freshener system is disclosed that is configured to integrate into existing ducting of a vehicle and selectively disperse a measured amount of scent matter into the ducts for dispersion into the cabin of the vehicle. The system includes a storage unit containing a volume of scented matter, a release mechanism in communication with the storage unit, and a control unit in communication with the release mechanism and configured to regulate the dispersion of the scented matter from the storage unit in accordance with the desires of a user. The control unit is an interface for the passenger to regulate scent dispersion. A sensor is also optionally included to monitor air quality from the ambient air.

A predictive scent control system and method thereof for dispersing a scent into a passenger compartment of an automotive based upon a feedback system having a decision unit and a set of predefined users' settings. Dispersion of scent or fragrance into the passenger compartment may be based upon prediction user behavioural profile. User behavioural profile may include an average based upon timing of access to vehicle, an average based upon frequency of selection of predefined user settings, and an ambience of the passenger compartment. In another embodiment, the predictive scent control system may be configurable to disperse a pungent scent in the event of unauthorised access to the vehicle. The predictive control system is applicable to vehicles for multiple users or car-sharing.
