VEHICLE CONVERTIBLE TOP SYSTEMS
A vehicle includes a vehicle body including a truck bed at least partially defining a cargo area, a vehicle interior with passenger seating, and a multi-component hard top assembly configured to selectively and removably couple to the vehicle body to provide an enclosed configuration at least partially enclosing the vehicle interior. The multi-component hard top assembly includes a rear window assembly configured to selectively and removably couple to the vehicle body.
VEHICLE CONVERTIBLE TOP SYSTEMS
A modular, multi-component hard top assembly for a vehicle having an interior with front passenger seating, rear passenger seating, and a rear cargo area is provided. In one example implementation, the hard top assembly includes a base frame configured to removably couple to a body of the vehicle, and a plurality of removable roof panels selectively coupleable to the base frame to create a substantially contiguous roof over the vehicle interior. Each removable roof panel of the plurality of removable roof panels is separately removable from the base frame to provide an open air configuration at that specific location of the hard top assembly while enabling a user to detach, remove, and transport a smaller portion of the hard top assembly without assistance or specialized equipment.
REAR HARD ENCLOSURE FOR A SOFT TOP
A panel top assembly adapted for a vehicle including a pivotal portion that is rotatable between a closed position and open sunroof position, the pivotal portion is coupled to guide assemblies to selectively slide rearward to another top open position. There is provided a removable hard rear window, a rear hard drip rail; and a pair of removable hard rear side window assemblies on the side of the vehicle that wrap around to the back of the vehicle creating clear rear hard corners and that are also in sealing engagement to the rear window. The rear hard drip rail and pivotal portion selectively drop down at an angle into the rear cargo area of the vehicle when a fully open top experience is desired.
Zipper less removable windows for a folding suv soft top
A zipper less removable window system having removable windows for use with a foldable, stowable roof for a vehicle. A plurality of attachment devices of the zipper less removable window system connect the windows to the foldable, stowable roof and to the vehicle without the use of zippers. The operator zipper effort caused by traditional windows is thereby eliminated and misalignment issues present with traditional zippered windows is eliminated or reduced. The stress placed on the portions of the windows connectable to the foldable roof during installation and removal, including around curved portions of the removable window, is eliminated or reduced.
Window frame assembly, door assembly and window frame kit for a vehicle
A window frame assembly for a vehicle has a cage frame segment connectable to a roll cage, a door frame segment connectable to a door having a hinged end and an opening end such that its first end is disposed proximate the opening end and its second end is disposed proximate the hinged end, and a linking frame segment having a first end pivotable about a pivot axis for pivoting the linking and door frame segments relative to the cage frame segment and a second end movably connected to the door frame segment such that the linking frame segment moves relative to the door frame segment as the linking and door frame segments pivot about the pivot axis, the cage, door and linking frame segments together forming a frame. Door assemblies for vehicles, window frame kits for vehicles, and vehicles provided with same are also disclosed.
UTILITY TERRAIN VEHICLE DOOR ASSEMBLY
A utility task vehicle includes a vehicle body including an opening. A door is positioned adjacent the opening. The door is configured to pivot about a first axis between an open position and a closed position. A window assembly is positioned adjacent and operably coupled to the door. The window assembly is configured to pivot about a second axis between an open position and a closed position. Rotation of the window assembly about the second axis is driven by rotation of said door about the first axis. In combination, the door and the window assembly substantially seal the opening of the vehicle body.
Securing handle for an openable side window
An openable side window for a motor vehicle is provided having an openable side window which covers a lateral vehicle opening when in its closed position and can be locked by a securing device, the securing device comprising a pivotable securing handle which can be pivoted between an unlocked position and a locked position and has an operating arm and a latch arm which, when in the locked position, interacts with a latch counterpart, wherein the latch arm comprises a functional element which is pre-loaded radially outward with respect to a pivot axis of the securing handle.
Attachment assemblies for soft top panels
A vehicle soft top with a removable panels having interconnecting strips that can be aligned with one another and snap fitted to attach to each other. In one embodiment, a assembly to attach components of a vehicle soft top having a top panel, a side panel and a rear panel may have a first strip connected along a portion of an edge of the top panel, the first strip having a plurality of spaced tabs raised from the first strip by a stem; a second strip connected along a portion of a top edge of at least the side panel, the second strip having a plurality of spaced openings, which are aligned and spaced to securely and removably receive and retain a portion of an edge of the tabs of the first strip and a portion of an edge of the stem of the tabs of the first strip.
Utility vehicle
The utility vehicle has a door and a window unit detachably mounted to the door. The door includes an inner door panel, an outer door panel, and a door pipe frame supporting the inner door panel and the outer door panel. The window unit includes a window and a window unit pipe frame supporting the window. A plurality of downwardly extending pipe ends of the window unit pipe frame are inserted into a plurality of upwardly open pipe ends of the door pipe frame. The pipe ends of the window unit pipe frame are detachably fixed to the pipe ends of the door pipe frame using a locking device.
