MODULAR HALF DOOR

A side door assembly is provided for an automotive vehicle body having a side opening. The side door assembly includes a one-piece casting for hinged connection to the vehicle body. The casting forms a frame. At least one panel insert is selectively connected from the interior of the vehicle outward by a plurality of rotary attachment features to the frame. The frame includes a plurality of reinforcement features to add structure and rigidity, while reducing weight, to the side door assembly.

The front-side vertical wall portion and the rear-side vertical wall portion are made of casting or high-strength resin, and the hinge-reinforcement member and the latch-reinforcement member are configured to have higher ductility than the front-side vertical wall portion and the rear-side vertical wall portion and connected to the impact bar.

The outer member includes an outer panel and an annular frame member which is joined to an outer peripheral portion of the outer panel by a hemming method, the reinforcement outer member is connected to the inner member at its front and rear end portions, and a seal outer member to seal a gap between the outer member and the door glass is attached to an upper frame portion fastened to the reinforcement outer member.

The window panel may be provided in the window frame, configured to be manually raised and lowered, and supported to movable between an upper limit position where the window panel closes an opening of the window frame and a lower limit position where the window panel opens the opening of the window frame. The lower support may include a groove. The groove may be configured to receive a lower edge of the window panel when the window panel is located at the lower limit position. The anti-vibration member may have viscoelasticity, disposed in the groove of the lower support, and configured to hold the window panel from both sides of the window panel.

In the vehicle door outer handle device, a state of holding the handle lever in the operating position is reliably maintained so that the handle lever is placed in the operating position. A return spring 35, that causes a first engaging portion 35b to be in contact with and engaged with a handle lever 36, is attached to the handle lever 36 so as to be able to switch between a state in which when a handle base 25 is assembled to the vehicle door, in a temporary holding state in which a connecting arm portion 16 is placed in a door opening operation position, a second engaging portion 35c is not engaged with the handle base 25, and a state in which after assembly of the handle base 25 to the vehicle door is completed, the second engaging portion 35c is in contact with and engaged with the handle base 25.

A door handle device for a vehicle includes a handle base, a first link and a second link and an operation handle connected to the first link and the second link and to be driven from an initial position to a use position. The operation handle is manually operable to a latch operation position beyond the use position. The second link includes an end holding spring to apply an urging force to hold a rotation center of the second link and the operation handle at an initial end position. The handle base includes a latch release lever to be driven by the second link with a movement of the operation handle from the use position to the latch operation position and to transmit a latch release operation force to a door latch device fixed to the door.

A door wiring module includes: a door planar member incorporated into a door of a vehicle to be able to cover an operation opening formed in the door panel; and a wiring member attached to the door planar member, wherein the door planar member includes a first assembled part assembled to a first region in the door panel and a second assembled part assembled to a second region different from the first region in the door panel, and in a state where the first assembled part is assembled to the first region in the door panel, the second assembled part is movably provided in a position other than the second region in the door panel so as to be able to open a part of the operation opening formed in the second region.
