VEHICLE BODY
A vehicle body includes a rear opening and a rear header. The rear header includes a first and a second rear header panel. A closed cross-section space is defined by the first and the second rear header panels. The vehicle body includes a reinforcing member that is disposed in the closed cross-section space. The first and the second rear header panels each include a first portion extending downward in the vehicle up-down direction and a second portion bending from a lower end of the first portion and extending rearward in the vehicle front-rear direction. The reinforcing member is disposed in a region in which the first portion of the first rear header panel and the first portion of the second rear header panel face each other. A space is provided between a lower face of the reinforcing member and the second portion of the first rear header panel.
Vehicle latch with integrated radar module
An electronic latch system for a motor vehicle includes an electronic latch (e-latch) including an e-latch controller within a door of the vehicle. A plurality of radar sensors are located within the door for performing non-contact detection of objects around the vehicle. The radar sensors include an outside-face sensor adjacent an outside face of the door to sense an object within a first sensing zone extending from the outside face. The radar sensors also include an inner sensor adjacent an inside surface of the door to sense an object within a second sensing zone extending from the inside surface. The radar sensors also include a shut-face sensor adjacent a shut face of the door to sense an object within a third sensing zone extending from the shut face. The e-latch includes a light source for projecting a warning image and an audio source for generating an audible warning.
Over-Slam Bumper Device for Vehicle
In an embodiment an over slam bumper device includes a bracket part having one end protruding toward an inside of a tailgate of a vehicle and the other end protruding toward a rear bumper or a vehicle body of the vehicle and fixable to the tailgate and a bumper part inserted into the bracket part and protruding toward the rear bumper or the vehicle body, wherein the bracket part has a hollow shape and includes a first bracket protruding toward the inside of the tailgate and a second bracket protruding toward the outside of the tailgate and having an inner wall on which a screw thread is formed, wherein the bumper part has a hollow shape and includes a coupling portion inserted into the second bracket and having an outer wall on which a screw thread is formed, a deformable portion integrally extending from the coupling portion toward the outside of the tailgate and configured to be compressed and deformed when an external force is applied and a contact portion integrally extending from the deformable portion toward the outside of the tailgate and configured to come into direct contact with the rear bumper or the vehicle body when the tailgate is closed, and wherein the bumper part is inserted into the second bracket.
Method for adjusting a force that has to be applied by a user to operate a lid
The invention relates to an operational force support device that is adapted to support a user when operating a lid (10). The invention further relates to a method for adjusting a force (F.sub.H) that has to be applied by a user to operate a lid (10). Furthermore, the invention relates to a computer module adapted to output an amplification factor and/or an armature voltage that is/are used in the method according to the invention.
MOTOR VEHICLE DECK
A modular vehicle system configured to improve storage of a vehicle including one or more rear doors, including at least one modular column configured to provide a vertical surface for mounting various attachments thereto, the at least one column including a first component and a second component, wherein the first component and the second component are slidable relative to one another to span a distance between a floor of the vehicle and a ceiling of the vehicle inside of the one or more rear doors.
BUMPER STOP OF A VEHICLE STRUCTURAL MEMBER AND A RESTRAINT ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure provides a bumper stop for a vehicle structural member. The bumper stop includes a main body having a supporting surface, an assembling surface opposite to the supporting surface and a side surface between the supporting surface and the assembling surface; and a hollow conical portion partially surrounding the side surface of the main body and connected to the main body along a perimeter of the main body. The hollow conical portion is made from elastic material and configured to be flipped from a first position to a second position.
Automobile body structure
An automobile body structure is provided in which a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic cabin formed of a bathtub shape includes an inverted U-shaped roll bar providing a connection between front parts of a pair of left and right side frames, and a pair of left and right roll bar-supporting bars connecting an upper portion of the roll bar to rear parts of the pair of left and right side frames. Since a rear part of a roof panel and a front part of a tailgate panel are supported on a mounting bracket provided on the roll bar-supporting bar, it is possible, by changing the fore-and-aft position of the mounting bracket, to freely set the rear end position of the roof panel and the front end position of the tailgate panel and, moreover, it is possible to strongly support the roof panel and the tailgate panel.
HATCHBACK DOOR FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
A hatchback door includes a load-bearing inner panel made of composite plastic material, a plastic top outer panel glued on a top portion of the inner panel, and a plastic bottom outer panel glued on a bottom portion of the inner panel. The top panel includes a first layer of transparent plastic material and a second layer of opaque plastic material or opaque paint. The opaque layer covers only some of the transparent layer such that the top panel is transparent in a central part overlying a rear-window opening of the inner panel and in its peripheral portions that function as transparent elements for two lateral sets of lights and a third top set of lights. The light sets are without a front transparent element and are connected to a rear side of the top panel. The transparent peripheral portions constitute the front transparent elements of the light sets.
Liftgate assembly for a vehicle
A liftgate assembly for a vehicle includes an outer panel and an inner panel. The outer panel is adapted for mounting to a rear portion of a vehicle and includes first and second lower corner regions. The inner panel is mounted to the outer panel such that the outer panel and inner panel define an opening for a rear window. The inner panel includes a first reinforcement rib diagonally extending from the first lower corner region to a Z/Y center adjacent the opening and a second reinforcement rib extending from the second lower corner region to the Z/Y center. The reinforcement ribs are arranged with the outer panel to define an A-shape or inverted V-shape.
