Truck cap
A truck cap having a cap body with an opening, and a cap door that is movable between open and closed positions with respect to the opening. At least one hinge that attaches to the cap body and the cap door of the truck cap. The hinge includes a first hinge bracket member and a second hinge bracket member. The first hinge bracket member includes a hinge bracket to receive a pivot pin. The second hinge bracket member includes a hinge bracket with an opening sized to receive at least a portion of the pivot pin. The first hinge bracket member and the second hinge bracket member are pivotable with respect to each other about the pivot pin. A longitudinally extending gas prop pivotably attached to the pin extending from the second angled portion of the first hinge bracket member and to the pin of the second hinge bracket member.
VEHICLE CONTAINER, VEHICLE CONTAINER DOOR AND SYSTEM FOR ASSEMBLING A DOOR TO A VEHICLE CONTAINER
A vehicle container has a vehicle container body, a door pivotally connected to the vehicle container body, the door defining at least one recess, and a door latch system for locking the door in a closed position. The door latch system has an extendible and retractable actuator pivotally connected to the vehicle container body, a linkage assembly operatively connected to the actuator, a rod operatively connected to the linkage assembly, the rod being pivotable about an axis upon extension and retraction of the actuator, at least one hook connected to the rod, the at least one hook being received and withdrawn from the at least one recess of the door by pivoting the rod about the axis, and at least one pin removably fastened to the door and extending in the at least one recess, the at least one pin being selectively movable relative to the door.
MULTI-FUNCTION TRAILER
A trailer is disclosed which includes a first door with a first hinge configured to allow the first door to operate between an open position and a closed position, and a second door on the opposing side of the trailer with a second hinge configured to allow the second door to operate between an open position and a closed position. The trailer also includes a roof and a trailer tongue with a coupling configured to attach to a hitch of a vehicle. Two or more wheels are provided that are extendable from an up position to a down position. In this way, when the wheels are in the down position, the trailer is lifted off the ground. The trailer can thus change between at least three modes, including a first mode for storage, wherein the first door and second door are in the closed position and the wheels are in the up position; a second mode for ingress and egress, wherein at least one of the first door and second door are in the open position; and a third mode for travel, wherein the first door and second door are in the closed position and the wheels are in the down position.
Asymmetrical tailgate
A tailgate assembly mounted along an open edge of a vehicle's load carrying bed includes a frame having a first or proximal lateral side adapted to be hingedly connected for opening in a swing open mode and a second or distal lateral side oppositely positioned relative to the first lateral side. The tailgate assembly further includes a reinforcement frame component overlaid onto the frame at the first lateral side to increase torsional stiffness at or near the first lateral side.
Automated Rear Door Opener
A door operator assembly is configured to raise and lower a cargo door of a cargo enclosure. The assembly includes a power and control unit mounted on an exterior of the cargo enclosure. The power and control unit includes a motor, a coupler operatively connecting the motor to a torsion assembly of the cargo door, a manual release mechanism for actuating the coupler to connect and disconnect the motor and the torsion assembly of the cargo door, and a control circuit for the motor. The assembly may also include an operating switch disposed on the exterior of the cargo enclosure.
School bus emergency egress system
An emergency egress system for a multi-passenger vehicle such as a school bus (10) includes a housing (30) that operatively supports a ramp (34) in movable connection therewith. Opening an emergency exit door (18) of the bus causes a housing door (24) to open and the ramp to move outwardly from a retracted position toward an extended position. Opening the emergency exit door also causes the suspension of the bus to be automatically lowered to place the emergency exit opening (16) closer to the ground (166).
Articulating tailgate
A tailgate assembly for a vehicle includes hinge and track assemblies that enable opening of the tailgate from a closed position to a horizontal open position and further to a vertical open position to enable comfortable access to items within the cargo bed.
3 in 1 Truck
An addition to truck beds with a subsequent amount of seating for additional passengers. The seating is manufactured from waterproof material to eliminate deterioration from outside elements. The seating is embedded under grip proof covering which retracts and extracts from the truck floor bed by a push button module located on the driver side panel near the headlight switch. Retraction and extraction of the grip proof cover is motor operated and folds into a W shape against the bed head. The seating will expand upward and downward by manual power. The additional seats will be one or two row seat options per consumer choice. The row seats will come equipped with seat belts and headrest for stabilization to the passenger. The row seats are bolted down to the bed of the truck and are non-removable. The retractable flooring will lock back into place by metal hinges.
VEHICLE BODY REAR PART STRUCTURE
A vehicle body rear part structure according to an aspect of the present invention includes: an opening/closing part that is capable of opening and closing a rear opening part of a vehicle main body that continues to an inside of a load room; and a step that is rotatably connected to a rear end part of the vehicle main body and that has a load placement surface. The step rotates between a use position at which the load placement surface faces upward at a further rear position than a rear end of the vehicle main body and at a lower position than a floor surface of the load room and a storage position at which the load placement surface stands upright compared to the use position.
Counter-Balanced Lift System
An adjustable length counterbalance mechanism for lift doors, frequently used for cargo trailers and garages. The adjustable length torque shaft of the counterbalance mechanism is able to accommodate many different lift door widths and is simpler to install than a fixed length torque shaft. In embodiments, the adjustable torque shaft is comprised of two outer torque shafts, each with a torsion spring and cable drum and a middle torque shaft that can be assembled together. The middle torque shaft can be inserted into each of the outer torque shafts to a selected depth to determine the length of the adjustable torque shaft.
