School bus emergency egress system
An emergency egress system for a multi-passenger vehicle such as a school bus (372) includes an emergency exit opening (380) that is normally closed by an emergency exit door (382). Opening the emergency exit door of the bus causes the door to open by rotating about at least one horizontal hinge (384). As the door moves outwardly and then downward a ramp (394) moves outwardly from a retracted position toward an extended position. Opening the emergency exit door also causes the suspension of the bus to be automatically lowered to place the emergency exit opening (16) closer to the ground (166).
DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR A MANURE HOLDING TANK
A door assembly for a manure holding tank comprises a door, at least one latch subassembly for locking the door when the door is closed and a door operating mechanism. The at least one latch subassembly is mountable on the manure holding tank. The door operating mechanism is mountable on the holding tank and connected to the door for opening and closing the door. The door operating mechanism comprises a pivotably moveable portion to open and close the door and a linearly translatable portion that cooperates with the at least one latch subassembly to lock and unlock the door.
MOBILE FULFILLMENT SYSTEM
A mobile fulfillment system includes a shipper system that collects and manages customer information and order data input from customers; a fulfillment platform that receives the customer information and order data from the shipper system and controls vehicle control and dispatch accordingly; and a mobile fulfillment center that includes a plurality of vehicles dispatched from the fulfillment platform and delivers products to customers and monitors delivery status according to the customer information and order data.
Truck cap
A truck cap having a cap body with an opening, and a cap door that is movable between open and closed positions with respect to the opening. At least one hinge that attaches to the cap body and the cap door of the truck cap. The hinge includes a first hinge bracket member and a second hinge bracket member. The first hinge bracket member includes a hinge bracket to receive a pivot pin. The second hinge bracket member includes a hinge bracket with an opening sized to receive at least a portion of the pivot pin. The first hinge bracket member and the second hinge bracket member are pivotable with respect to each other about the pivot pin. A longitudinally extending gas prop pivotably attached to the pin extending from the second angled portion of the first hinge bracket member and to the pin of the second hinge bracket member.
Truck tailgate and bumper assembly
A vehicle, such as a pickup truck, includes a bed pillar and a tailgate pivotally engaging the bed pillar. A bumper includes a body secured to the bed pillar, a lever pivotally mounted to the body and having a pad, and a spring biasing the pad into contact with the tailgate in a closed position. The lever may pivot to push the tailgate rearward.
Multi-function trailer
A trailer is disclosed which includes a first door with a first hinge configured to allow the first door to operate between an open position and a closed position, and a second door on the opposing side of the trailer with a second hinge configured to allow the second door to operate between an open position and a closed position. The trailer also includes a roof and a trailer tongue with a coupling configured to attach to a hitch of a vehicle. Two or more wheels are provided that are extendable from an up position to a down position. In this way, when the wheels are in the down position, the trailer is lifted off the ground. The trailer can thus change between at least three modes, including a first mode for storage, wherein the first door and second door are in the closed position and the wheels are in the up position; a second mode for ingress and egress, wherein at least one of the first door and second door are in the open position; and a third mode for travel, wherein the first door and second door are in the closed position and the wheels are in the down position.
PASSIVE PARTICLE SEPARATION SYSTEM
One embodiment is a passive particle separation system including a plenum; an inlet for feeding outside air into the plenum, wherein the outside air has particles entrained therewith; a housing for enclosing the plenum; and a standpipe installed on the housing. The outside air enters the plenum via the inlet and plenum, housing, and standpipe interact to impact the outside air entering the plenum to cause the particles to be released from the outside air.
Vehicle, in particular motor vehicle, with a tailgate
Vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, which is equipped with a tailgate which can be pivoted on the rear of the vehicle. The tailgate can be pivoted by way of a pivoting device, around a pivoting axis between a closed position, in which a loading surface of the rear of the vehicle is defined, and an open position in which the loading surface of the rear side is open. In order to pivot the tailgate, the pivoting apparatus includes at least one pivoting arm on which the tailgate can be moved in a translatory manner and can be detachably held in place.
REAR DOOR OF BODIES OF LORRIES OR LORRY TRAILERS
A rear door of bodies of lorries or lorry trailers, with at least one door leaf, which is hinged on the body to pivot about at least one vertical door axis provided in the corner region of the body. In order to mount accessories, advertising surfaces or lateral air deflectors, preferably in the region of the main closing edge of the door leaf, a supporting frame is hinged to pivot about a vertical frame axis, which supporting frame extends horizontally and substantially as far as the outer wall. In this lateral region, the supporting frame has a projection along at least part of its height, which projection engages in a groove-like recess congruent thereto on the body or on a component connected thereto, when the rear door is closed ready for travel.
DEVICE FOR DETERMINING POSITION OF LIFTGATE OR REAR DOOR OF A CARGO TRUCK OR TRAILER
A device for determining the position of a rear door or liftgate of a cargo truck or trailer includes a base attachable to the rear door or liftgate. A visual indicator extends from the base so as to be viewable from a side view mirror of the truck to enable a driver of the truck to determine the position of the rear door or liftgate due to the position of the visual indicator. The visual indicator may be a plurality of closely spaced apart elongated members, which may be brightly colored or light transmissive so as to be easily seen.
