Since the cover is horizontally traversed, the person manipulating the cover need not lift the cover vertically in order to reconfigure the cover between the expanded and collapsed positions. Women and elderly people who are generally not as strong as men can manipulate the cover.

A fabric cover is supported by a frame that is at least partially articulatable from at least a closed position to an open air position. The frame includes at least one forward fabric support bow member and at least one rearward fabric support bow member. A vehicle convertible system include left and right side rails extending in a vehicle length direction and defining a roof opening, and a roof member covering the roof opening. The roof member includes a frame, an outer cover attached to the frame, and a headliner including a cover attached to an underside of the frame. A linkage connected to the roof member moves the roof member between a closed condition and a stowed condition. A retractor attached to the roof member is connected to lateral side portions of the headliner cover. The retractor is operable by movement of the linkage. The retractor moves the lateral side portions between a covering position which conceals the linkage in the closed condition of the roof member and a retracted position inwardly of the side rails to provide clearance for the linkage as the roof member is moved to the stowed position.

A pickup truck cap having bendable plastic side panels having a bottom side located along a respective riser installed on each pickup truck cargo bed side wall. The side panels are each engaged by a curved respective guide located adjacent each end of each side panel to conform each side panel to curvature of an associated guide. An upper side of each side panel is received beneath a rectangular top assembly included in the cap. Either of side panels are movable upwardly to raise the bottom side thereof up from a respective riser to create an access opening beneath a raised side panel along each side of the cap. A pair of movable side panels can also be arranged to close off access through a cover installed on the cargo bed of a pickup truck.

The service module (1) further comprises displacement means (13) for displacing the first roof part (4) and the first left side part (5) and/or the first right side part (6) into a position where the first roof part (4) and the first left side part (5) and/or the first right side part (6) substantially cover the second roof part (9), the second left side part (10) and/or the second right side part (11). A method for servicing a large mechanical and/or electrical device (2) having a normal place of operation above ground level and use of a mobile service module (1) is also disclosed.

A pushing and/or pulling device for a vehicle top, with two link chains, which are respectively provided with a plurality of link elements and extend at a predetermined distance to each other. The link chains are respectively guided at one end in a guide, which defines a movement direction and a distance of the link chains to each other, which are connected at the other end via a transverse connection to each other, so that the link chains extend upon exiting the guide in a joint plane. Two adjacent link elements of the link chains are movably connected to each other via a joint, so that at least one part of the link elements is upon entering the link chains put away in the respective guide in a corresponding storage area.
