Top having a loading aid function and convertible vehicle having such a top
A top for a convertible vehicle, having a top cover and a top linkage which can be displaced between a covering position and a storage position, in which the vehicle interior is open at the top, and which may have a link assembly on either side of a vertical longitudinal center plane of the top, the top linkage having a corner bow which extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle and which defines an area of transition of the top cover between a roof portion and a rear portion when the top linkage is in the covering position. When the top linkage is in the covering position, the corner bow is secured against pivoting by means of at least one blocking element disposed on a pivoting part of the top linkage and can be displaced from the covering position into a loading position by displacing the pivoting part.
Top having a locking mechanism
The invention relates to a top for a convertible vehicle, comprising a top cover and a top linkage which is displaceable between a covering position, in which a vehicle interior is covered, and a storage position, in which the vehicle interior is uncovered, and which comprises a link assembly on either side of a vertical longitudinal center plane of the vehicle, each link assembly being pivotably mounted on a vehicle-attached main bearing and securable in at least two positions of the top linkage by means of a locking device comprising a lock element disposed on a first link of the link assembly, a first lock counterelement, and a second vehicle-attached lock counterelement. The first lock counterelement of each locking device is disposed on a second link of the respective link assembly.
TARPAULIN STRUCTURE
The invention relates to a tarpaulin structure for an understructure, such as a truck, trailer, semi-trailer, railway car, dump truck or container, comprising a folding-top frame (16) and a tarpaulin (12) made of weather-resistant material, the folding-top frame (16) includes a plurality of struts (34); at the end, each of the struts has a carriage (32) that is movable along a guide (20), at least one bracket (36) is selectively pivotally connected to a pair of opposite carriages (32; 32) of the strut or to the strut (34); said bracket (36) forming a tarpaulin folding aid along with a bracket (26; 36) of an adjacent strut (34), of a pair of opposite carriages (32; 32) or of a stationary part (24) of the folding-top frame (16). In order to create a light-weight tarpaulin structure that allows an understructure to be reliably covered, according to the invention, the adjacent brackets (26, 36) are coupled to each other by means of a kinematic connecting rod assembly (38) that folds when the folding-top frame (16) is collapsed.
Sliding latch mechanism
A structure, for example a vehicle roof, may define an opening receiving one or more removable panels. The removable panels may each include a panel body configured to cover the opening, and a plurality of latches. The latches may each be positioned adjacent a respective edge of the body and configured to translate between different positions. The removable panel may also include an actuator and a plurality of latch links, with each latch link having a first end connected to a corresponding one of the latches, and each latch link having a second end operably linked with the actuator. Rotation of the actuator may drive each of the latches from an open position of the latch to a closed position, while rotation of the actuator in an opposite direction may drive each of the latches from the closed position of the latch to the open position of the latch.
Tarpaulin Structure
The invention relates to a tarpaulin structure for a substructure, such as a lorry, trailer, semi-trailer, railway car, dump truck or container, comprising a covering frame and a tarpaulin consisting of weather-resistant material, wherein the covering frame has a plurality of struts (34) which each have on the end sides thereof a carriage (32) that is displaceable along a guide (20), wherein at least one bow (36) is pivotally connected at each pair of opposed carriages (32; 32), said bow forming with a bow (36) of an adjacent carriage pair (32) a tarpaulin folding aid, the bows (36) of the tarpaulin folding aid being connected to each other. A tarpaulin structure that allows a reliable covering of a substructure while having a low intrinsic weight is achieved according to the invention in that the connected bows (36) comprise a pivot angle limiter (38) that allows only a limited pivoting of the bows (36).

Arrangement comprising a cover for a vehicle roof
Vehicle roof arrangement can have displaceable sliding member, activation element having a mechanical coupling element, locationally fixed construction element in relation to the guide rail and has a coupling element pocket, and an elastic element mounted to be locationally fixed in relation to the guide rail. In a first state the elastic element protrudes into the pocket. In a second state the elastic element is guided out of the pocket. In a first movement section of the sliding member the elastic element by the sliding member is transferable from the first state to the second state. In an adjacent second movement section an introduction of the coupling element into the pocket is controllable, and the activation element is blocked in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. In an adjacent third movement section the elastic element is again transferable to the first state, and the coupling element is blocked.
RETRACTABLE CANOPY FOR A VEHICLE
A retractable canopy for a vehicle, the retractable canopy moving independently of a vehicle roll bar being retracted or raised. Canopies for weather protection both from excessive exposure to the sun and from precipitation are commonly used on many types of vehicles, which in many cases may be motorized. For safety reasons, and often also legal requirements, these vehicles may be equipped with a roll bar or similar structure to protect the operator of the vehicle from injury in the event that the vehicle rolls over. When the vehicle encounters a low-lying obstruction, the canopy may be quickly lowered to enable the vehicle to travel underneath and past the obstruction, after which the canopy may be quickly raised again. Raising or lowering of the canopy is independent of whether the roll bar is raised or lowered, and raising or lowering of the roll bar is independent of the canopy position.
LIFT ASSIST LOCK-DOWN FOR A SOFT TOP
A lift assist lock-down assembly for a soft top assembly, the lock-down assembly operably coupled to first and second bows selectively rotatable between an open/sunroof position and an open/downward position. A handle member is rotatable between unlocked and locked positions. A cam and a cam lockout selectively prevent the bows from rotating. When locked in a first position, the bows are prevented from rotating generally rearward/downward, thereby preventing the soft top assembly from moving into the open/downward position. When locked in a second position, the bows are prevented from rotating generally forward/upward, thereby generally preventing the soft top from bouncing or from moving into the open/sunroof position.
AUTOMATED SOFT TONNEAU COVER WITH CLAMPING RAIL
A retractable cover system includes a frame that includes laterally spaced apart guide rails. A flexible cover is slidably supported with respect to the guide rails. The cover has laterally opposing end portions each with an end that is arranged over and overlaps a respective one of the guide rails to provide an outer seal. In one embodiment, a flap is secured to the cover near each of the ends. Each flap is configured to retain its respective end portion to its respective guide rail. The cover is secured in a desired position by clamping a portion of the cover, for example, the flap.
