A locking device for a convertible vehicle is proposed, comprising a locking support, a locking hook, which can be shifted in a translational and/or rotational manner so as to be displaced between a release position and a locked position, and a driving mechanism for the locking hook, said driving mechanism comprising a driving element, which is driven by a driving motor and drives the locking hook, as well as a detection device for detecting a position of the driving element. The detection device is a sensor, which continuously detects the position of the driving element with respect to the locking support.

A tonneau cover for a cargo bed of a truck includes a rail system, and a panel secured to the rail system. At least a portion of the rail system or the panel is a layer jamming member having a layer jamming material operable to exhibit a first stiffness in response to a first confining pressure and a second stiffness in response to a second confining pressure. The layer jamming member may include all or a portion of the panel to provide specific regions of the cover, and/or may include portions of the rail system.

The clamp system includes a first clamp frame that couples to the truck wall, and the first clamp frame includes first and second ends with respective first and second sets of teeth. The first set of teeth engages rail teeth on the rail, and a second clamp frame couples to the rail and to the first clamp frame to secure the rail to the truck. The second clamp frame includes third and fourth ends with respective third and fourth sets of teeth. A device or system for use in vehicles, such as jeeps, having soft tops. The device or system may include a bow top clip which is configured to engage with, mount on, or secure to a portion of the vehicle, such as the roll bar cage. To help prevent the vehicle soft top from flapping, the vehicle bow top clip is configured to receive and hold a crossbar member.
