Slip coat for an elastomer
A slip coat composition, a gasket, and a method forming a gasket including a slip coat. The slip coat composition includes an ultra-violet light cationic curable coating composition including hollow glass microspheres and micronized silica. The gasket includes a seal having an exposed surface on which the slip coat is disposed. A base layer defining a first channel is injection molded and a seal is injection molded onto the base layer at least partially within the first channel. The seal includes an exposed surface which exhibits a texture. The slip coat composition is applied to the exposed surface of the seal and cured.
GLASS RUN CHANNEL AND GLASS RUN CHANNEL ASSEMBLY
A glass run channel includes a lip portion in which a bending point is located on a root side of the lip portion. At the bending point, the lip portion is bent when the lip portion is elastically deformed by sliding with a window pane. A first covering portion having a friction coefficient smaller than that of the lip portion is formed on a distal end side of the lip portion with respect to the bending point. A second covering portion having a friction coefficient smaller than that of the lip portion is formed over a surface of a visible portion from the bending point of the lip portion or a position of the lip portion on the distal end side with respect to the bending point. The first covering portion is formed to be harder than the second covering portion.
SLIP TAPE FOR AUTOMOBILE WEATHER STRIPS
Provided is a slip tape for an automobile weather strip. A circular loop shaped-ring having a smooth outer surface forms a low coefficient of friction, preventing and minimizing joints to improve slipperiness, and the loop-shaped ring is knitted to prevent its escape. This slip tape comprises: a base film attachable to the outer surfaces of an automobile door belt weather strip and door glass weather strip and made of an olefin resin; an adhesive layer applied on the upper surface of the base film; and a ring fabric layer attached to the adhesive layer, formed of multifilament polyester or nylon yarns, including a plurality of loop-shaped upper rings knitted on the upper surface thereof to protrude upward for tight contact with the outer surface of automobile glass, and including lower rings flatly knitted on the lower surface thereof such that the upper rings are caught and supported thereby.
