The handle assembly includes a handle and a resilient bumper. The handle includes a grasping portion for grasping with a user's hand and a connection portion. The connection portion defines a gap configured to receive and attach to a lug of the cylinder. The handle includes a free end located opposite the connection portion. The resilient bumper is positioned within an opening of the lug. The resilient bumper is positioned between the handle and the lug of the cylinder and is configured to absorb vibration and limit movement of the free end relative to the cylinder.

Multimodal Platform for Railcar

A multimodal platform is provided for a railcar. The multimodal platform includes a first underframe, a second underframe, a loading platform, and rail wheels. The first underframe carries a first container and the second underframe carries a second container. The second underframe is coupled to the first underframe and coupling the first underframe and the second underframe provides an articulation point. The loading platform is disposed above the articulation point and between a first end of the first container proximate the second container and a second end of the second container proximate the first container. The rail wheels are disposed under the loading platform and coupled to the first underframe and the second underframe. The rail wheels are configured to transport the multimodal platform on rails of a railway.

Improvements to a self-fluffing vehicle fire extinguisher where the improvements relate to a system where the extinguisher can be monitored and maintained. Further Improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that is articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. An automatic fluffing motor and manual fluffing wheel. Pressurizing the fire extinguisher can be with an external gas chamber or can be with a compressor that maintains the pressure within the extinguisher. A delivery system can direct the fire extinguishing media to an area of the vehicle that has an elevated temperature or can distribute the media thorough the occupied or unoccupied portion of the vehicle.

Fire extinguisher with internal mixing and gas cartridge

Improvements to a portable fire extinguisher are disclosed. The improvements allow for frequent and simplified inspection and maintenance of a fire extinguisher with minimal training and without need for custom equipment. The improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that can be articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. Additional improvements include a larger opening to more quickly fill and inspect the powder within the chamber. Another improvement includes the use of a CO.sub.2 cartridge located external to the chamber to allow easier servicing or replacement of just the CO.sub.2 cartridge as well as the ability to maintain the chamber in an un-pressurized condition, allows for non-HASMAT shipping. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.
