FIXED WINDOW ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
The subject invention includes a fixed window assembly for a vehicle comprising a fixed glass, a trim portion having a polymeric base and a decorative member bonded to the polymeric base. An encapsulation is coupled to the fixed glass and the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in a spaced and adjacent position relative to the fixed glass. A method of manufacturing is also provided using first and second molding apparatuses. Polymeric material is injected into a first mold cavity of the first molding apparatus to form the polymeric base bonded to the decorative member. Polymeric material is injected into a second mold cavity of the second molding apparatus to form the encapsulation coupled to the fixed glass and simultaneously coupled to the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in an adjacent position to the fixed glass.
Below belt seal assembly, associated window sealing system, and method for manufacturing same
A below belt seal assembly for use in a window seal assembly includes an extruded strip of material extending in length between strip ends and having a base and first and second sides extending the base with each side having an engagement area and first and second lips extending outwardly from the engagement areas. A molding is formed about the base and each of the sides and terminates at the engagement areas of the sides such that the molding is spaced from the lips, with the molding forming at least one bracket bonded to the extruded strip. A fastener is attached to the bracket for facilitating mounting of the assembly to the vehicle. The window seal assembly also includes an upper glass run seal assembly comprising additional extruded strips of material and a second molding for bonding the below belt seal assembly to the upper glass run seal assembly.

Automobile weather strip
An automobile weather strip includes an extrusion-molded portion and a die-molded portion. The die-molded portion includes: a mount base to be mounted on the periphery of the door; and a hollow seal integrally molded with the mount base and coming into elastic contact with the circumferential edge of a vehicle body opening. The mount base includes a bottom in the shape of a plate. The bottom has a core removal slit for removing a core, and the core removal slit extends in a longitudinal direction of the die-molded portion. The core removal slit has a length set shorter than the length of the core in the same direction. The bottom includes a thick-walled portion at a portion adjacent to an edge of the core removal slit. The thick-walled portion is thicker than the other portions of the bottom.

PARTING SEAL
In a parting seal that seals a gap between a front door and a rear door, one end of a seal portion, including a substantially arc shape, and one end of a mounting base, including a substantially L shape, are connected by a connecting portion, the seal portion and the mounting base are formed of a material with higher hardness compared to the connecting portion, and a seal-portion distal end, located on the side opposite to the connecting portion in the seal portion, is in contact with the mounting base when the front door is closed.
