WEATHER STRIP AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A weather strip couples to a flange with curved parts of a sliding door of an automobile. The weather strip includes an installation base member, a hollow part, and an insert. The installation base member couples to the flange and includes an inner-cabin side wall, a first outer-cabin side wall, and a connecting wall. Part of the installation base member is cut out, to provide a cut-out part. The part couples to the curved parts. The cut-out part is subjected to die molding, to provide a die-molded part. The hollow part is integrally formed with the installation base member by extrusion molding. The insert is shaped in conformance with the curved parts and is embedded in the die-molded part with a plurality of concave shaped parts of the insert abutted with a plurality of pins of a die under the die molding.
Trim for vehicle
A trim for a vehicle comprising: an attachment portion including an exterior lateral wall portion, an interior lateral wall portion, and a top wall portion that connects the exterior and interior lateral wall portions; a core embedded in the attachment portion; and a holding lip protruding from an interior surface of at least one of the exterior and interior lateral wall portions, wherein the attachment portion and the holding lip are formed of a foamed polymer material, and wherein among tip end portions of the exterior lateral wall portion and the interior lateral wall portion, the tip end portion of at least one of the exterior and interior lateral wall portions is covered with a covering portion formed of a non-foamed polymer material.
DOOR SASH
A door sash which is formed by roll-forming from a single plate material and in which a weather strip is fitted includes: an overlapping section formed by making the plate materials overlap each other; a tubular section formed to extend from a car-interior-side end portion of the overlapping section; and flange sections and respectively formed to protrude from a car-exterior-side end portion of the overlapping section to both sides, in which a periphery of an end portion of the plate material extending from the tubular section is formed so as to come into contact along a plate material forming the overlapping section on the side on which the weather strip is fitted, and the vicinity of an end portion of the plate material forming the overlapping section, in which deformation has occurred during the roll-forming, protrudes to the inside of the tubular section.

Sunroof unit
Increase of an overall thickness of a sunroof unit is suppressed even when a flange portion depending from a side edge of an opening of a roof has a large height. A rear panel contacts an edge of an opening via a rear seal portion. The rear seal portion includes a first seal member mounted to a rear molded part in a rear portion of the opening and a second seal member extending in a fore and aft direction and supported by a frame via a support bracket to form a passage for a stay between the second seal member and the rear molded part in a side portion of the opening. The frame includes a pair of guide walls disposed more inboard than a side edge of the opening and slidably guiding the slider in the fore and aft direction and a vertical wall formed to stand upright at a position more outboard than the side edge of the opening. The support bracket has a U-shaped cross section opened upward and is disposed to receive a flange portion depending from the side edge of the opening.

Fixed Window Assembly For A Vehicle And Method Of Manufacturing Same
The subject invention includes a fixed window assembly for a vehicle comprising a fixed glass, a trim portion having a polymeric base and a decorative member bonded to the polymeric base. An encapsulation is coupled to the fixed glass and the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in a spaced and adjacent position relative to the fixed glass. A method of manufacturing is also provided using first and second molding apparatuses. Polymeric material is injected into a first mold cavity of the first molding apparatus to form the polymeric base bonded to the decorative member. Polymeric material is injected into a second mold cavity of the second molding apparatus to form the encapsulation coupled to the fixed glass and simultaneously coupled to the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in an adjacent position to the fixed glass.

PROFILE STRIP ARRANGEMENT
A profile strip arrangement includes a profile strip made of a profile material. The profile strip has a first connecting area configured to form a connection to an edge area of a windshield of a motor vehicle, and has a second connecting area configured to form a connection to a part that is adjacent to the windshield. The first connecting area has a lower connecting section which interacts with an inside of the edge area of the windshield and which has at least one free surface section that is free of the profile material. The at least one free surface section is formed by a surface of an additional element that is made of a material that differs from that of the profile strip.
WINDOW SEAL ASSEMBLY FOR LIMITING AIR LEAKS FROM A VEHICLE FRAME INTO A PASSENGER CABIN OF A VEHICLE
A vehicle door sealing assembly includes a door trim panel and an inner frame panel defining a door cavity, a window positioned proximate the door trim panel and the inner frame panel, a beltline seal disposed between the door trim and inner frame panels and in selective engagement with the window and a leak seal extending between the door trim panel and the beltline seal to divert a flow of air from the door cavity.
