Flexible dry sprinkler
A dry fire protection sprinkler has an inlet seal assembly to seal an inlet orifice. A spring seal compresses in response to a load. An inlet release unit releases the inlet seal assembly. A flexible tube has an inlet end connected to the inlet release unit. A flexible linkage extends through the flexible tube, and has an inlet end connected to the inlet release. An outlet biasing portion is connected to an outlet end of the tube and an outlet end of the linkage, which displaces upon activation of the sprinkler. A sprinkler body is connected to the outlet biasing portion, with an outlet seal assembly to seal its outlet orifice. When ambient reaches a predetermined temperature, the outlet seal assembly releases from the outlet orifice, and the outlet biasing portion displaces the linkage, causing the inlet of the linkage to operate the inlet release unit, releasing the inlet seal.

DEVICE FOR PROVIDING MIST TO A SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT
The invention relates to a device (10) for providing mist to a surrounding environment, the device (10) comprising a housing unit (12) having an inlet opening (18), an outlet opening (20), and a chamber (22) extending between the inlet opening (18) and the outlet opening (20) along a central axis (24); a nozzle unit (14) including at least one orifice (26); wherein the nozzle unit (14) is arranged in the chamber (22), the nozzle unit (14) being slidable along the central axis (24) between a closing position, in which the nozzle unit (14) closes the outlet opening (20), and an opening position, in which the at least one orifice (26) connects the chamber (22) to the surrounding environment in fluid communication; wherein the nozzle unit (14) transfers from the closing position to the opening position if a fluid pressure at the inlet opening (18) exceeds a predefined threshold; wherein the nozzle unit (14) comprises a deflector part (28) for deflecting fluid in the opening position and for closing the outlet opening (20) in the closing position, wherein the at least one orifice (26) is arranged offset to the central axis (24) between the inlet opening (18) and the deflector part (28); wherein the at least one orifice (26) is configured to guide fluid flowing through the at least one orifice (26) and to lead the fluid towards the deflector part (28). The invention provides an improved device (10) for providing mist to a surrounding environment, which reduces the required amount of fluid and increases the efficiency of the fluid distribution.
TREATMENT PLANT AND METHOD FOR DESIGNING TREATMENT PLANT
Provided is a technology of preventing an increase in size of a treatment plant, which may be caused when a safety clearance for the prevention of spread of a fire is set, and restraining an increase in designed fire-extinguishing water usage. A treatment plant for handling a flammable liquid includes: an equipment placement region in which a plurality of equipments configured to handle the flammable fluid are placed, the equipment placement region being divided into four or more firewater supply sections. A plurality of fire-extinguishing water supply facilities are provided to the firewater supply sections, respectively, the fire-extinguishing water supply facilities each being capable of, when a fire occurs in the firewater supply sections, simultaneously supplying fire-extinguishing water to a fire-occurrence section and an adjacent section.
AUTOMATED TELESCOPIC WATER CANNON, WITH WATER TANK CONNECTION CAPABILITY, AUTOMATED WATER GUN
An automated telescopic water cannon and nozzle gun apparatuses that function by variable water pressure controlled by actuator and gear motor. Water pressure extends the water cannon nesting tubes and distance is restrained by center tube retainer cap connected to a winch cable. The water cannon handle bars are positioned for balancing allowing the firefighter to control the apparatus when tubes are extended and the winch reversed pulls the tubes back to the home position.. The bipod elevates, lowers, extends and retracts with actuators for positioning of the apparatus. The external tube has a an attachable polycarbonate heat and blast resistant shied connect at the end. The apparatus connected to the water tank may be transported by a helicopter to fight all types of fires, for an aerial attack. The water nozzle gun has an extended tube stock connection for control assistants and nozzle extension for direct and angle application.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SCANNING AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE VEHICLE FOR A TOOL
A system includes a tool and an emergency response vehicle transitionable between a motive gear and a non-motive gear. The emergency response vehicle includes a mount for removably securing the tool to the emergency response vehicle. The system further includes a scanner coupled to the emergency response vehicle and operable to detect the tool when the tool is secured to the emergency response vehicle by the mount and a controller communicatively coupled to the scanner. The system is configured to determine that the emergency response vehicle has transitioned between a non-motive gear and a motive gear and in response to determining that the emergency response vehicle has transitioned between the non-motive gear and the motive gear, cause the scanner to scan the emergency response vehicle for the tool to determine whether the tool is secured to the emergency response vehicle.
Protected Branch Connector Assembly For Fire Protection Systems
Device and methods of protecting a branch connector of a fluid supply pipe header for a fire protection system. A protected branch connector assembly includes a protective device that protects the branch connector fitting from dirt and debris and indicates that an internal seal member is in a desired seated orientation. The protective device includes a plug body inserted within the outlet opening of the branch connector fitting and an indicator in an indicative relationship with the branch connector to indicate that the internal seal member is in the desired seated orientation.
