STOVE TOP FIRE EXTINGUISHING DEVICE
An apparatus is disclosed for extinguishing a stovetop fire over a stovetop having a first burner, the apparatus including a container detachably mountable to a microwave positioned above the stove top. A supply of fire suppressant material is retained within the container. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the container. When the container is mounted to the microwave over the first burner, and the fire actuates the heat responsive actuator, at least a portion of the supply of fire suppressant material falls from the container toward the first burner.
FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM INCLUDING NOZZLE WITH MULTIPLE SPRAY ANGLES
A method for suppressing a fire including providing a fire suppression system including at least one nozzle within a hazard area, activating the fire suppression system in response to detecting a potential fire within the hazard area, and releasing a fire suppression agent toward the hazard area through the at least one nozzle at a spray angle defined between outermost edges of fire suppression agent when released through the at least one nozzle. The spray angle is a first spray angle for a first time period. The method further including releasing the fire suppression agent toward the hazard area through the at least one nozzle at a second spray angle, greater than the first spray angle, for a second time period.
BATTERY PACK COMPRISING EXTINGUISHMENT UNIT
A battery pack includes at least one battery module arranged in one direction and having a cell assembly including a plurality of secondary batteries arranged in one direction; and a fire extinguishing unit having a fire extinguishing tank configured to contain a fire extinguishing agent therein, a pipe connected to the fire extinguishing tank to supply the fire extinguishing agent from the tire extinguishing tank to the at least one battery module, and a fire extinguishing valve configured so that, when an internal gas of the battery module is heated over a predetermined temperature, an inner configuration of the fire extinguishing valve is partially deformed by the heated internal gas to open an output hole thereof so as to supply the fire extinguishing agent from the fire extinguishing tank into the battery module.
Automated fire detection with portable fire extinguisher
A fire detection device and method therefor are able to provide automatic activation so as to extinguish a fire. The fire detection can be rapid and temperature-based. In one embodiment, a heat collector can be provided to enhance thermal responsiveness. Activation of the fire detection device can be electrically induced to release an extinguishing agent at the fire. The activation can be protected such that it is durable and unaffected by vibrations.

Fire protection system
A fire protection system that includes a fluid supply and a fluid delivery apparatus. The fluid delivery apparatus receives fluid from the fluid supply and delivers a protectant solution to a building to prevent the building from catching fire. The fluid delivery apparatus includes an expansion chamber having an inlet for receiving fluid from the fluid supply, and an outlet where the protectant solution exits the expansion chamber. The fluid delivery apparatus also includes a resource line in fluid communication with the expansion chamber to provide a flame resistant substance to the expansion chamber from a reservoir. Further, the fluid delivery apparatus includes a vent line in fluid communication with the reservoir and the expansion chamber, a pressure difference between the vent line and the resource line causes the fluid in the vent line to push the flame resistant substance from the reservoir to the expansion chamber via the resource line. A method of installing the fire protection system on a building. The fluid delivery apparatus of the fire protection system can be provided to receive fluid from the fluid supply and positioned adjacent to desirous parts of the building to deliver a protectant solution from the fluid delivery apparatus to the building.
Fire-extinguishing device (variants), lock and release device for fire-extinguishing device (variants), forced activation device for lock and release device, fire-extinguishing system and fire-extinguishing method
The proposed technical solution relates to fire prevention equipment and can be used in industrial and civilian properties, including with an increased risk of fire, for locating hot spots, and also for efficiently extinguishing fires in facilities using automatic fire-extinguishing systems. The technical problem addressed by the claimed invention is to produce a fire-extinguishing device which does not have the drawbacks mentioned and has increased reliability, efficiency and manufacturability. The technical result of the claimed invention consists in elimination of the drawbacks of the prior art, in an increase in the reliability and manufacturability of a fire-extinguishing device and thus in an increase in the fire-extinguishing efficiency overall.
ENVIRONMENTALLY-CLEAN FIRE INHIBITING AND EXTINGUISHING COMPOSITIONS AND PRODUCTS FOR SORBING FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS WHILE INHIBITING IGNITION AND EXTINGUISHING FIRE
Environmentally-clean fire inhibiting and extinguishing dry powder compositions and products for sorbing flammable liquids while inhibiting ignition and extinguishing fire involving flammable hydrocarbon liquids such as, oils, fuels and non-polar solvents such as ketones and alcohols. The dry powder chemical compositions are made by mixing, blending and milling to suitable powder particle sizes, the following components: a fire extinguishing agent in the form of at least one alkali metal salt of a nonpolymeric saturated carboxylic acid; a powder fluidizing agent to help provide the dry powder composition with excellent fluid flow characteristics; and an oleophilic/hydrophobic composition for absorbing liquid hydrocarbons, while repelling water. A surfactant may be added to promote the formation of anhydrous semi-crystalline metal mineral salt film onto the surface of flammable hydrocarbon liquids involved in fire outbreaks to be extinguished and preferably absorbed by the dry powder chemical compositions.
ELECTRONIC FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM FOR USE IN RESTAURANTS
A global fire suppression system includes a primary controller, and a plurality of local fire suppression systems. Each local fire suppression system includes a secondary controller coupled to the primary controller, at least one detection device coupled to the secondary controller, and at least one release device coupled to the secondary controller. Each secondary controller is configured to act as the primary controller should the local fire suppression system become isolated from the primary controller.
Integrated controls for a fire suppression system
An integrated operator interface for a fire suppression system is provided. The fire suppression system includes an engine, a water source, a water pump, a foam system and a compressed air system. The integrated operator interface includes a control panel including a plurality of one-touch activation controls. Each one-touch activation control is configured to cause the output of a predetermined fire suppression fluid from the fire suppression system and cause a predetermined increase in engine speed resulting in an associated increase in water pump pressure. The predetermined fire suppression fluid comprising a predetermined flow of water, a predetermined type of foamant, a predetermined concentration of the predetermined type of foamant, and a predetermined flow of compressed air.
