VEHICLE TRAVELING CONTROL APPARATUS
A vehicle traveling control apparatus includes an abnormality determining unit and a seat belt controller. The abnormality determining unit determines presence of impaired consciousness of a driver on a condition that the vehicle traveling control apparatus performs, to an own vehicle, automatic driving on a basis of traveling environment information on a traveling environment in which the own vehicle travels and traveling information of the own vehicle. The seat belt controller causes a seat belt of a driver's seat of the own vehicle to be retracted, when the abnormality determining unit determines the presence of the impaired consciousness.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING DRIVER
A system for monitoring a driver comprises that a first sensor configured to detect first physical condition information of the driver, a second sensor configured to detect first driving state information of a vehicle; and a controller configured to determine whether a physical condition of the driver is abnormal on the basis of the first physical condition information, and determine whether a driving pattern of the driver is abnormal on the basis of the first driving state information.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECOGNISING THE CONDITION OF VEHICLE OCCUPANTS
The physical and/or mental condition of a vehicle occupant can be recognized on the basis of a BCG (ballistocardiograph) signal, which is obtained by means of a BCG sensor. The BCG sensor is an MEM sensor; a cross-correlation of the BCG signal with heartbeat parameters is carried out in an optimum filter, which heartbeat parameters are varied within predefined limits to find a maximum of the cross-correlation function; and probable peaks are located in a cross-correlation function found in this manner and the heart rate is calculated therefrom.

Method and system of deploying ignition interlock device functionality
A method and a system of deploying an ignition interlock device (IID). The method comprises receiving a time series of breath alcohol content (BrAC) measurements that are unitarily sourced from a pre-identified user, each BrAC measurement of the time series including an alveolar breath component and an interferent breath component; estimating a dissipation rate of alcohol attributable to the pre-identified user in accordance with the time series of BrAC measurements; determining, responsive to estimating the dissipation rate of alcohol, at least a subset of the BrAC measurements as being based on the alveolar breath component but not the interferent breath component; and performing one of triggering and not triggering the IID into a lockout state based on the at least a subset of the BrAC measurements.
VEHICLE OPERATION STATES
Upper and lower limits of one or more parameters are established for each of a plurality of states of operation of a vehicle. One of the plurality of states for operating the vehicle is identified based at least in part on the parameters, data describing a human operator, and data describing an environment around the vehicle. A vehicle subsystem is actuated according to an operation mode corresponding to the current operating state.
Vehicle Control System With Impaired Driver Prevention And Biometric Detection
A vehicle control system with impaired driver prevention and biometric detection includes a vehicle with an ignition interlock circuit and one or more vehicle electrical systems, a detection device with an internal sensor system, and a mobile device having and one or more biometric sensors. The system operates by initiating a vehicle start command via the mobile device, prompting a user for a scan, receiving the scan from the detection device, whereby the scan includes at least a blood alcohol content percentage of the user, acquiring a sensed biometric image via the biometric sensors of the mobile device, and comparing the sensed biometric image to one or more stored biometric images. If the biometric image does not match a stored biometric image, or if the scan includes a blood alcohol content above a threshold value, then the vehicle start command is canceled.
APPARATUS AND METHOD OF PROVIDING VEHICLE SERVICE BASED ON INDIVIDUAL EMOTION RECOGNITION
Disclosed are an apparatus and method of providing a vehicle service based on individual emotion recognition for providing a vehicle service based on individually customized emotion recognition by learning emotion for each user. The apparatus includes a processor configured to determine whether an event occurs based on information on a driving environment and image acquirer configured to acquire a user facial image in response to event occurrence. The processor is further configured to learn user facial expression based on the user facial image in response to the event occurrence, and determine whether the user experiences specific emotion based on the learned user facial expression. The apparatus further includes a service provider configured to provide a vehicle service corresponding to the driving environment when determining that the user experiences the specific emotion.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING TARGET OF ALCOHOL TEST, DRIVING SAFETY DEVICE AND SYSTEM, SERVER
The present invention provides a method for determining a target of alcohol test, including: determining whether a motor vehicle satisfies a preset condition; and determining, as a target vehicle, a motor vehicle that satisfies at least one preset condition. The preset condition comprises at least one of: a parking duration in an area, in which a distance from a place selling alcoholic drinks does not exceed a predetermined distance, has a value within a predetermined range; alcohol content in a body of a driver of the motor vehicle exceeds a predetermined value; and schedule of a driver of the motor vehicle on that driving day comprises having a meal and/or a dinner party. The present invention further provides a driving safety device, a server and a driving safety system.
