DRIVE CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A drive control device is applicable to a vehicle including a first motor which drives a first wheel and a second motor which drives a second wheel. The drive control device includes a sensor, a torque setting section, an anomaly detection section, and an information output section. The sensor detects information about the drive control device. The torque setting section sets upper limit values of torques that can be generated by the first motor and the second motor based on the information detected by the sensor. The anomaly detection section detects an anomaly in the drive control device. In response to the anomaly detection section detecting the anomaly, the information output section outputs, to the torque setting section, setting information that sets the upper limit values of the torques of the first motor and the second motor to a common predetermined value, as the information.

System and method for adjustable motorcycle throttle lock cruise control
A system and method for an electronic cruise control used to supplement electronic control units or vehicles for enhanced or additional cruise control integration. The electronic cruise control is designed to be updated easily by the end user or system to adjust the speed of a vehicle such as a motorcycle whereby the electronic cruise system sends a control signal to rotate an existing throttle to maintain the motorcycle's speed whereby the throttle grip position will always reference the speed of the motorcycle.

Method for operating an assistance system
A method for operating an assistance system for automated driving operation of a vehicle involves continuously determining an emergency trajectory along which the vehicle is brought to a standstill in a longitudinally and transversely controlled manner after activation of an emergency operation of the vehicle. In the event of an imminent or already initiated lane change of the vehicle from a starting lane to a target lane according to a determined standard trajectory, a decision is made as to whether the vehicle should be brought to a standstill in the starting lane or in the target lane when emergency operation is activated. This decision depends on the position of the vehicle on the standard trajectory. The vehicle is then brought to a standstill in the starting lane if an emergency trajectory is planned by means of which the vehicle is brought to a standstill in the starting lane within a predefined path length and/or within a predefined time period, and if in the process a predefined comfort value of a transverse acceleration acting on the vehicle is not exceeded and a predefined penetration depth of the vehicle into the target lane is not exceeded.
BICYCLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A bicycle with an electric pedal assist motor capable of driving a chainring independent of cranks includes wheel speed sensors and crank cadence sensors. The wheel speed sensors and the crank cadence sensors measure wheel speed and crank cadence, respectively, and provide the measured wheel speed and crank cadence to controller of the bicycle. The controller activates motor overdrive based on the measured wheel speed and/or the measured crank cadence.
Pedal Assembly With Integrated Disable Switch And System Using Same
A pedal assembly with integrated disable switch for turning off the engine of an automobile or other motorized transport which may be activated by the driver's foot. The disable switch may be triggered by the raising of the foot while in place on the accelerator pedal. The disable switch may include detent positions including a first detent position which allows for engine function, and a second detent position after activation of the disable functionality such that the switch is not easily deactivated once activated. The disable switch may comprise a switch lever arm above the driver's foot, which is coupled to the main accelerator pedal extension lever. The disable switch may include a mechanically activated switch which is activated by relative motion of the switch lever arm relative to the main accelerator pedal extension lever.
Utility vehicle
A utility vehicle includes a diesel engine, a two-four wheel drive switcher provided on a driving power transmission path from the diesel engine and configured to switch transmission of driving power to driving wheels between a two-wheel drive mode and a four-wheel drive mode, and a vehicle control unit configured to control the two-four wheel drive switcher. The utility vehicle further includes a rollover sensor configured to detect rollover of the utility vehicle, and a fuel cutoff valve configured to cut off fuel supply to the diesel engine. The vehicle control unit determines whether or not the utility vehicle is being rolled over in accordance with detection by the rollover sensor and controls the fuel cutoff valve to cut off the fuel supply when the vehicle control unit determines that the utility vehicle is being rolled over.

SMART INITIATOR ASSEMBLY
According to various implementations, a vehicle pyrotechnic initiator assembly includes an initiator that includes at least one electrode pin and a validation device in electrical communication with the at least one electrode pin. The validation device provides validation information about at least a portion of the initiator assembly and/or a safety device in which the initiator assembly is installed. The validation information may include a date associated with an expiration of the initiator assembly and/or the safety device. The validation information may also or alternatively include a manufacturer identity associated with a manufacturer of the initiator assembly and/or safety device. In some implementations, the validation device includes an electrical circuit and/or memory that stores the validation information. For example, the validation device may include an ASIC chip.
