A vehicle control apparatus includes: a transmission shifting control portion configured to implement a shifting action of a step-variable transmission, by controlling a releasing action of a releasing coupling device and an engaging action of an engaging coupling device; a torque control portion configured, during the shifting action of the step-variable transmission, to implement a feedback control to control an input torque inputted to the step-variable transmission, such that a value representing a state of a rotary motion of an input rotary member of the step-variable transmission coincides with a target value dependent on a degree of progress of the shifting action; and a backup control portion configured, when it is determined that the drive wheels are slipped, to inhibit the feedback control, and to compensate a transmitted torque to be transmitted through an initiative coupling device, such that the shifting action is facilitated by compensation of the transmitted torque.

An emergency braking control system of a vehicle using a limited slip differential, may include a brake circuit formed by splitting hydraulic lines for left and right side drive wheels; a limited slip differential disposed to restrict the differential of the drive wheels; and a controller for determining whether or not the braking circuit failure occurs in a braking situation, and performing the engagement control of the limited slip differential, wherein the controller is configured to perform the engagement control of the limited slip differential to distribute a braking force to drive wheel connected to a hydraulic line where the braking circuit failure occurs when the brake circuit failure occurs in the braking situation.

The control unit generates a control signal for controlling behavior of a vehicle body on a basis of a first acceleration detection signal and a second acceleration detection signal, the first acceleration detection signal including information relating to an acceleration acting on the vehicle body, the first acceleration detection signal having an alternating current waveform corresponding to the acceleration, the second acceleration detection signal including information relating to the acceleration, the second acceleration detection signal having an output waveform, an alternating current component corresponding to the acceleration being superimposed on a direct current component in the output waveform.

A torque request module is configured to, while a vehicle speed is greater than a predetermined speed, decrease a torque request in response to a first signal from a start/stop switch being in a first state continuously for greater than a first predetermined period and less than a second predetermined period. A control module is configured to, as the torque request decreases, decrease torque output of at least one of an engine and an electric motor. A light control module is configured to: selectively turn exterior hazard lights on and off in response to a second signal from a hazard light switch being in a first state; and selectively turn the exterior hazard lights on and off in response to the first signal from the start/stop switch being in the first state continuously for greater than the first predetermined period.
Systems and methods for controlling an engine and hazard lights based on start/stop switch actuation
A torque request module is configured to, while a vehicle speed is greater than a predetermined speed, decrease a torque request in response to a first signal from a start/stop switch being in a first state continuously for greater than a first predetermined period and less than a second predetermined period. A control module is configured to, as the torque request decreases, decrease torque output of at least one of an engine and an electric motor. A light control module is configured to: selectively turn exterior hazard lights on and off in response to a second signal from a hazard light switch being in a first state; and selectively turn the exterior hazard lights on and off in response to the first signal from the start/stop switch being in the first state continuously for greater than the first predetermined period.
Traction control considering wheel slip, pitch and heave
A traction control system for a motor vehicle includes a controller configured to initiate a traction control intervention at one or more vehicle wheels. The controller is configured to inhibit the traction control intervention in dependence on a reduced wheel load condition in said one or more wheels. The reduced wheel load condition is identified based on at least one of a signal indicative of vehicle pitch and a signal indicative of vehicle heave.
Traction control considering wheel slip, pitch and heave
A traction control system for a motor vehicle includes a controller configured to initiate a traction control intervention at one or more vehicle wheels. The controller is configured to inhibit the traction control intervention in dependence on a reduced wheel load condition in said one or more wheels. The reduced wheel load condition is identified based on at least one of a signal indicative of vehicle pitch and a signal indicative of vehicle heave.
