Indication device
An indication device includes an indication portion made of a light transmitting material and a cover portion made of a light blocking material. The indication portion has a sign including at least one of a character, a symbol and a figure. The cover portion covers a periphery of the sign of the indication portion. The sign is illuminated by light emitted by a light source and guided to the indication portion. The cover portion is configured such that a recess from a surface of the cover portion is provided in a region corresponding to the sign of the indication portion.
VEHICLE CONTROL IN TRAFFIC CONDITIONS
A vehicle may include a steering wheel assembly, a powertrain, and a controller. The steering wheel assembly may include an interface. The controller may be programmed to, in response to a vehicle speed being less than a threshold, enable the interface to receive a driver input, and in response to a driver input received while the vehicle speed is less than the threshold, operate a powertrain to increase/decrease the vehicle speed subject to a range of authority.
VEHICLE GESTURE RECOGNITION SYSTEM AND METHOD
Embodiments of vehicle gesture recognition systems and methods are disclosed. An example vehicle gesture recognition system comprises a data interface configured for receiving 2d image data from a 2d sensor and/or from a portable device camera via a portable device interface. Additionally or alternatively, the data interface is configured for receiving gesture data indicating a gesture. A vehicle processing unit is configured for controlling user interfacing with a user interface based on the gestures recognized from the 2d image data and/or as indicated by the gesture data.
PRESSURE COMPENSATOR FOR METER HOUSING
A seal for a meter housing with an interior portion is disclosed. The seal includes an axially inner surface configured to face the interior portion of the meter housing and an axially outer surface configured to face away from the interior portion of the meter housing. At least one of the axially inner surface and the axially outer surface is configured to seal against a portion of the housing. The seal further includes a diaphragm defined axially intermediate the axially inner surface and the axially outer surface and a fluid passageway defined through a portion of the diaphragm. The fluid passageway is configured to move between an open position and a closed position in response to a pressure differential between the interior portion of the housing and an exterior portion.
Vehicle operation input device
A vehicle operation input device includes an option display unit that displays a plurality of options on a display, an operation input unit having an operation surface, where the operation input unit generates operating information indicating a position in the operation surface at which a finger of the operator touches the operation surface, a finger position detecting unit that detects a position of part of an arm of the operator and obtains the position as the positional information regarding the finger of the operator, and a control unit. The control unit sets a particular option among the plurality of options immediately beneath the finger in accordance with the positional information regarding the finger obtained by the finger position detecting unit. An example of the particular option is at least one of the options located in the middle.
Meter display device for vehicle
A meter display device for a vehicle includes a rotation number display region which displays a rotation number of a drive source, wherein the rotation number display region is divided into a plurality of partial display regions having different rotation number ranges displayed, wherein the partial display regions have display operation elements which are changed between minimum and maximum values of the respective corresponding rotation number ranges with an increase and a decrease of the rotation number, wherein the partial display regions are separated from each other.
Apparatus for displaying engine RPM
An apparatus for displaying an engine RPM includes an ECU and a TCU configured to output a shift signal and a virtual RPM signal based on a shift state of a transmission. A cluster is configured to output the engine RPM as any one of the virtual RPM signal and a general RPM signal depending on whether the shift signal is input.
Input apparatus for vehicle and vehicle including the same
An input apparatus for a vehicle includes a cover member for covering an upper part of an input unit installed in a center plate provided between a driver seat and a passenger seat, wherein the cover member moves forward from a center console located in a back part of the center plate to cover the upper part of the input unit.
Flexible lighting system and component illuminated by the system
A flexible lighting system includes a printed circuit board, a flexible multiple electrical conductor strip, a light source, and a flexible light conductor. The light source is mounted on the flexible multiple electrical conductor strip and is electrically connected to the printed circuit board by the flexible multiple electrical conductor strip. The flexible light conductor is mounted on the flexible multiple electrical conductor strip to conduct light from the light source. A component, such as, a gauge can have a display with a graphical element that is illuminated or backlit by the flexible light conductor.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DYNAMIC IN-VEHICLE VIRTUAL REALITY
A computer-implemented method for rendering views to an output device in a vehicle that is restricted to a fixed track that has a predetermined fixed path. Vehicle data about the vehicle is received from an off-vehicle device that is located remotely from the vehicle and along the predetermined fixed path. The vehicle data includes a velocity, an orientation, and a location of the vehicle. User data about a user in a vehicle is received that includes a velocity, an orientation, and a location. The method includes generating a view based on the vehicle data, the user data, and a model. The model includes one or more components that define the view. The method includes determining a difference between the vehicle data and the user data, and rendering the view to the output device by controlling the output device to display the view according to the determined difference.
