Depending on the accentuation signal, the measure for accentuating the swerving area is carried out. The accentuation device can, for example, control a heads-up display and/or a monitor integrated into the vehicle window and/or a headlight.

A controller couples to the proximity sensor and receives the proximity signal indicative of the obstruction and emits a warning signal.
