VIRTUAL DISPLAY SYSTEMS WITH INTERACTIVE MIDAIR AND EXTENDED IMAGES
Systems and methods of virtual displays to generate virtual images. Some display systems comprise a light source and a plurality of specular reflectors to produce virtual images that have a monocular depth that is closer to a viewer than an exit aperture optic or other optical component of the display system. In some embodiments, sensors or cameras detect a property of a viewer or of an environment to impact the virtual image or to provide sensory feedback to the viewer.
Holographic lighting device
The invention relates to a lighting device for a vehicle having at least one lighting channel for generating a holographic light function assigned to this lighting channel by lighting a holographic structure of the lighting channel. Each channel includes a lighting assembly and a coupling-in surface of a light guide body disposed along a main beam direction of the lighting assembly. The lighting device also includes a holographic structure disposed on the coupling-out surface of the light guide body. The coupling-out surface is disposed in a beam path of the coupled-in light beams, so that lighting of the coupling-out surface takes place at an angle which is greater than a critical angle of the total reflection. The invention also relates to a rear light for a vehicle and to a vehicle.
DISPLAY DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE AND ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURING METHOD
A display device for a vehicle having a screen defining a display area, an intermediate layer that includes an inner face facing the screen and an outer face, and a decorative layer that includes a first face and a second face, the first face being arranged on at least part of one of the inner face and the outer face of the intermediate layer. The display device has a plurality of apertures extending at least between the second face of the decorative layer and the first face of the decorative layer, the plurality of apertures extending at least opposite the display area.
Information display device
An information display device that displays image information as a virtual image on a projection surface, the device including: an opening portion at a part of the housing, image light generating means for generating image light, image light processing means for performing a predetermined optical process on the image light, and image projecting means for projecting the image light such that a viewer can recognize the image information as the virtual image in front of the projection surface, and an optical element in which a reflective polarizing plate is fixed to a substrate having a transmissive property with an adhesive agent or with a pressure-sensitive adhesive agent is provided in a part of an optical path inside the housing, as means for selectively reflecting a P-polarized light component of light in a visible light region, and a moisture-proof film is provided on a surface of the reflective polarizing plate.
Display panel
A display panel is disclosed that includes a substrate, a first light blocking line, a second light blocking line, and a third light blocking line located on the substrate. The first, second, and third light blocking lines extend in a first direction in a plan view, and are spaced apart from one another in a second direction that intersects the first direction. A first display element and a second display element are located between the first light blocking line and the second light blocking line and respectively emit light of a first color and light of a second color. A third display element is located between the second light blocking line and the third light blocking line and emits light of a third color.
Heatable windshield
A coated article includes a substrate, a first dielectric layer, a first metallic layer, a first primer layer, a second dielectric layer, a second metallic layer, a second primer layer, a third dielectric layer, a third primer layer, a third metallic layer, and a fourth dielectric layer. The total combined thickness of the metallic layers is at least 30 nanometers and no more than 60 nanometers. The article can have a sheet resistance of less than 0.85/, a visible light reflectance of not more than 10%, and a visible light transmittance of at least 70%.
Arrangement for reflection suppression in a windscreen display system, and windscreen display system
A windscreen display system for a motor vehicle has a head-up display device. The head-up display device has a projection device for emitting a projection light beam with a first item of image information towards a display region of a windscreen so that the information is reflected there and can be perceived in an eye region, and a transparent covering for protecting the projection device, the covering having a cover pane and an antireflection layer applied to one or both sides.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A STIMULUS-BASED ANTI-GLARE SURFACE
A method, computer program product, and self-reversing material for incorporating a material into an interior portion of a vehicle, wherein the material is a self-reversing material. The material may be exposed to a stimulus, wherein the material has a first shape prior to being exposed to the stimulus. The first shape of the material may be altered to a second shape based upon, at least in part, exposing the material to the stimulus. The stimulus may be removed from the material. The second shape may be altered back to the first shape based upon, at least in part, removing the stimulus from the material.
