VEHICLE HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACE WITH SELECTABLE DISPLAY MODES PROVIDING VARYING LEVELS OF INFORMATION
Systems and methods for displaying information regarding a vehicle on a display device of a vehicle. One system includes a display device, an input device, and an electronic controller including an electronic processor and memory. The electronic controller is configured, during operation of the vehicle, to display, on the display device, information regarding the vehicle in a first display mode of a plurality of available display modes, the first display mode including a first set of information, and, in response to receiving input via the input device while the information is displayed in the first display mode, switch to displaying information regarding the vehicle in a second display mode of the plurality of available display modes. The second display mode includes the first set of information and a second set of information, and the second set of information is configurable.
CONTROL DEVICE, STEERING WHEEL, VEHICLE, CONTROL METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
The control device, includes: an acquisition section configured to acquire a planned travel route of a vehicle; and a control section that, at a time of transitioning from autonomous driving to manual driving and on the basis of the planned travel route, controls a display portion configured to display grasping positions of a steering wheel that should be grasped by a user.
Dynamic IR emission control for fast recognition of eye tracking system
A picture generation unit emits a light field. A mirror reflects the light field toward a windshield of a motor vehicle such that the light field is reflected off of the windshield and is visible to the driver as a virtual image. An infrared emitter transmits infrared energy through the mirror such that the infrared energy is substantially co-axial with the light field, and such that the infrared energy is reflected off of the windshield toward the human driver. An infrared camera captures infrared images based on the transmitted infrared energy reflected off of the human driver and received by the infrared camera. Eye tracking is performed based on the captured infrared images. The infrared energy is transmitted at a higher power level at a beginning of the eye tracking than after the beginning of the eye tracking.
Head-up display apparatus
The head-up display apparatus includes: a vehicle information acquisition unit configured to acquire various kinds of vehicle information which can be detected by a vehicle; a controller configured to control display of a video image based on the vehicle information; a video image display configured to form the video image based on an instruction from the controller; a mirror configured to reflect the video image formed by the video image display to project onto the windshield; a mirror driver configured to change an angle of the mirror based on an instruction from the controller; and a display distance adjusting mechanism configured to adjust a display distance of the virtual image with respect to the driver, and the controller adjusts the angle of the mirror via the mirror driver based on the vehicle information such that the virtual image can be displayed with respect to the driver overlapped with the scenery.
Driver alert display element
An alert arrangement is disclosed which includes a display member, a light member, a motor or solenoid and a gear system. The display member further includes a display surface thereon. The motor or solenoid is connected to the gear system and the motor or solenoid activates the gear system to move the display member between a first storage position and a second position. While in the first storage position, the display surface is not visible to a driver. When the display surface is in the second position, the display surface is visible to the driver and the light member is directed toward the display surface. A steering wheel arrangement is also disclosed that employs the alert arrangement.
Driver assistance system for vehicle including display having different implementation options
A personalization setting unit sets enable and disable of a personalization function that allows the set value to be changed to a recommended value for each of the driver assistance functions and for each driver registered in the driver information registration unit. A recommended value calculation unit obtains the recommended value based on driving-related information of the driver including a driving history. A change condition setting unit sorts a plurality of the recommended values into an approval type recommended value that requires an approval of the driver and an automatic change type recommended value that does not require the approval of the driver. A display control unit is able to display an approval screen for the approval type recommended value on a center display that is a display unit, and suspends display of the approval screen while the vehicle is traveling.
Driver assistance system and method for outputting expanded warning information in the vehicle
Methods, systems, and apparatuses for outputting situation-dependent, expanded warning information in a driver assistance system of a vehicle. The driver assistance system outputs situation-contingent, expanded warning information in the vehicle. A registration unit registers an output of warning information in an information-output unit of the vehicle. A sensor ascertains a degree of attentiveness of a driver of the vehicle. An electronic control unit controls an output in the vehicle such that, where a low degree of attentiveness of the driver has been ascertained, the output provides an expanded output of warning information in the vehicle.
Display control method and display control device
A computer performs processing including: generating an image to be presented to a driver in a preset coordinate system; identifying a display position at which the generated image is displayed in a field of vision of a driver, based on a viewpoint position of the driver; generating a driver viewpoint image obtained by converting the generated image to an image represented in a coordinate system defined with the viewpoint position as a reference; causing the driver viewpoint image to be displayed in such a manner that the driver viewpoint image overlaps a field of vision of the driver; detecting a line of sight of the driver; and when determining that a change amount of the detected line of sight exceeds a threshold value, suppressing change in a position at which the driver viewpoint image is displayed occurring in association with change in the viewpoint position.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is an electronic device adaptable for vehicles. The electronic device includes a first sensing device, a storage unit, a control unit and a display device. The first sensing device senses the first passenger and the second passenger sitting in the vehicle to obtain sensing information. The sensing information includes the first position of the first passenger and the second position of the second passenger. The storage unit stores storage information. The storage information includes a first permission corresponding to the first position and a second permission corresponding to the second position. The control unit determines that the first passenger has the first permission and determines that the second passenger has the second permission based on the sensing information and the storage information.
