As one example, an autonomous vehicle interface system can include a first vehicle interface computing device located within the autonomous vehicle and physically coupled to the autonomous vehicle. The first vehicle interface computing device can provide a first plurality of selectable vehicle commands to a human passenger of the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous vehicle interface system can further include a second vehicle interface computing device that provides a second plurality of selectable vehicle commands to the human passenger. For example, the second vehicle interface computing device can be the passenger's own device (e.g., smartphone). The second plurality of selectable vehicle commands can include at least some of the same vehicle commands as the first plurality of selectable vehicle commands.

A vehicular display apparatus is provided. The vehicular display apparatus includes a driving device installed in a housing, a display module configured to move to an inner portion or an outer portion of the housing, based on a mechanical operation of the driving device, and a controller unit configured to control the mechanical operation of the driving device. The driving device includes a gear configured to move the display module to the inner portion or the outer portion of the housing and a light emitting sensor and a light receiving sensor facing each other with the gear therebetween. The light receiving sensor senses an optical signal of the light emitting sensor passing through a region between gear teeth of the gear, and the controller unit counts the number of gear teeth of the gear passing through a region between the light emitting sensor and the light receiving sensor on a basis of a sensing result of the light receiving sensor and controls movement of the display module, based on the counted number of gear teeth.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OUTPUT OF CONTENT IN VEHICLE

A system and method for controlling an output of content in a vehicle are provided. In the system and the method for controlling an output of content in a vehicle according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a content source may be adjusted and outputted to correspond to a main display, and the main contents of the content source may be converted and outputted into additional contents so as to correspond to a sub display. Accordingly, the content source may be provided so that nearby users can be more comfortable and can easily check key contents in consideration of the characteristics of a display unit disposed in a first vehicle, and the effectiveness of providing the content may become higher, thereby the purpose of providing the content may be achieved more easily.

VEHICLE

A vehicle includes a transparent display having a variable transmittance disposed between a rear seat and a front seat. The transparent display plays predetermined video content. The predetermined video content has at least a first phase, a second phase that follows the first phase, a third phase that follows the second phase, and a fourth phase that follows the third phase. At a beginning of the first phase, the variable transmittance of the transparent display is a first transmittance, and at an end of the first phase, the variable transmittance of the transparent display is a second transmittance that is smaller than the first transmittance.

Liquid crystal display device

A liquid crystal display device includes a backlight module configured to switch between first light having a maximum luminance in a first direction and second light having a maximum luminance in a second direction different from the first direction and emit the first light and the second light from a main surface, a liquid crystal display panel, and a control device. The control device receives a first image and generates a first offset image based on the first image, the first offset image being an image obtained by reversing a color of the first image and having a luminance adjusted, controls the liquid crystal display panel such that a first display image including the first image and a second display image including the first offset image are alternately displayed, and controls the backlight module so that the first light is emitted when the first display image is displayed and the second light is emitted when the second display image is displayed. A luminance of the first offset image is substantially equal to a luminance in the second direction when the liquid crystal display panel displays the first display image.

Display Method and Apparatus
