User interface apparatus, vehicle having the same, and method of controlling the vehicle
A user interface apparatus includes a first user interface configured to display host information; and a second user interface configured to display guest information, and to transmit the guest information to the first user interface if a linking signal for the guest information is received, wherein the first user interface displays the guest information by changing the host information to the guest information. Therefore, by integrating a cluster which is a first user interface with a center fascia which is a second user interface to implement a large area screen, and linking information between the cluster and the center fascia, it is possible to reduce attention dispersion during driving, to improve a driver's recognition rate, and to improve a driver's convenience.
Vehicle display system and method
A method for a display system of a motor vehicle is provided. The motor vehicle comprises one or more seats for occupants of the vehicle, the position and/or orientation of the seats within an interior of the motor vehicle being variable. The method comprises: determining a position and/or orientation of the seats; determining an orientation at least a first portion of an image to be displayed by the display system according to the position and/or orientation of the seats; and displaying the image such that at least the first portion of the image is in the determined orientation. A display system for a motor vehicle is also provided.
Method for operating a display device of a motor vehicle
A first sensor device detects a viewing direction of a user, who is located in an interior of the motor vehicle, onto a display surface of a motor vehicle. A control unit of the motor vehicle determines a display parameter of a digital image subject to the detected viewing direction, specifying an absolute pictorial configuration of the digital image. The determination of the display parameter is based on the viewing direction of the user onto the absolutely pictorial configuration of the digital image, such that a relative, perspective-related configuration of the digital image is obtained so that the relative, perspective-related configuration corresponds to a target configuration of the digital image. The control unit generates the digital image as a function of the determined display parameter and the digital image is then displayed on the display surface.
Display device
On an inner wall in the interior of a vehicle, a display device is subdivided into a plurality of display fields with two directly adjacent display fields connected to each other along a common axis. At least one display field can be pivoted relative to at least one bending plane to beam display content into the interior at an angle relative to the at least one bending plane. In a first operating position, a surface of this at least one display field is oriented perpendicular to the at least one bending plane. In a second operating position, this at least one display field is pivoted relative to the at least one bending plane at an angle 90- relative to the at least one bending plane to beam the display content into the interior parallel to the at least one bending plane.
Method and device for activating a function subject to authorization in a vehicle comprising a system of digital rear-view mirrors
A method and a device are disclosed for activating a function subject to authorization in a vehicle comprising a system of digital rear-view mirrors with at least first and second touch screens, arranged on the driver's and passenger's side, respectively. The vehicle comprises members suitable for providing at least one function subject to authorization. The method comprises detection, by one of the members, of an action by a person that requires the activation of a function subject to authorization; transmission, from the member to the system of digital rear-view mirrors, of information relating to the detection; receipt, from the system of digital rear-view mirrors, of the information relating to the detection originating from the member, display, on one of the touch screens, of a notification comprising the function subject to authorization, and; an interaction zone suitable for receiving either an agreement or a refusal from the driver and/or the front passenger.
DISPLAY DEVICE
On an inner wall in the interior of a vehicle, a display device is subdivided into a plurality of display fields with two directly adjacent display fields connected to each other along a common axis. At least one display field can be pivoted relative to at least one bending plane to beam display content into the interior at an angle a relative to the at least one bending plane. In a first operating position, a surface of this at least one display field is oriented perpendicular to the at least one bending plane. In a second operating position, this at least one display field is pivoted relative to the at least one bending plane at an angle 90 relative to the at least one bending plane to beam the display content into the interior parallel to the at least one bending plane.
Contextual autonomous vehicle support through speech interaction
An autonomous vehicle including a sensor system that outputs a sensor signal indicative of a condition of the autonomous vehicle. The vehicle also includes a communication system including a speaker. Based upon a profile of the passenger, the autonomous vehicle can determine that support is to be provided audibly to the passenger when the support is provided to the passenger. Moreover, the autonomous vehicle can detect occurrence of an event that has been identified as potentially causing discomfort to the passenger based upon the sensor signal output by the sensor system. Responsive to detecting the occurrence of the event, and in accordance with the profile of the passenger, the autonomous vehicle can cause the speaker to output an audible support message. Content of the audible support message is based on the detected event, and the audible support message solicits feedback from the passenger of the autonomous vehicle.
Systems and methods for control of vehicle functions via driver and passenger HUDs
Method and apparatus are disclosed for transferring control of one or more vehicle functions from a driver HUD to a passenger HUD. An example vehicle includes a driver HUD, a passenger HUD, and a processor. The processor is configured for enabling control of one or more vehicle functions via the driver HUD responsive to determining that the vehicle speed is below a threshold. The processor is also configured for transitioning control of the one or more vehicle functions from the driver HUD to the passenger HUD responsive to determining that the vehicle speed has increased above the threshold.
INTERFACE APPARATUS AND METHOD
Embodiments of the present invention provide a human-machine interface (HMI) for a vehicle, comprising an output means (40, 50) for outputting information, passenger monitoring means (20) for determining a status of at least one passenger within the vehicle and to outputting a passenger status signal indicative thereof, control means (10) for determining an operating state of one or more systems of the vehicle, wherein the control means (10) is arranged to receive the passenger status signal, and wherein the control means (10) is arranged to compose an output from the output means (40, 50) in dependence on the operating state of the one or more systems and the passenger status signal.
INFORMATION PRESENTATION DEVICE AND INFORMATION PRESENTATION METHOD
