Fully designable vehicle information panel interface
Provided are systems and methods for facilitating a user to configure and retrieve personalized settings for a fully designable information panel in a driving apparatus. The information panel system may be configured to store a plurality information panel configurations. Different information panel configurations may correspond to different users of the driving apparatus. Users may be identified when inside the driving apparatus by capturing their biometric information. Following identification, an information panel configuration corresponding to the identified user may be retrieved and configured on a display device. The displayed information panel configuration may include a user customized graphic. The user customized graphic may be modified by the identified user with a color, shape, or text modification. The modification may be dependent on different metrics regarding vehicle operation or performance.
Board and vehicle having the same
A board for a vehicle includes: a base, a plurality of operation units that are provided in the base, perform predetermined functions, and generate signals when they are pressed, a guard unit that is provided in the base and has a plurality of guards that are provided at outer peripheries of the plurality of operation units and formed to be vertically movable, and a movement unit that vertically moves the plurality of guards, is normally used as a general board, and is used as a board having a storage space when there is an object required to be stored, and therefore it is possible to improve user convenience and prevent failure of the object.
Controlling a vehicle
Systems and techniques are disclosed for controlling a vehicle. A vehicle control apparatus includes a sensing unit that senses an eyeline of a passenger in a vehicle. The vehicle control apparatus also includes a controller. In some implementations, the controller identifies a window of the vehicle that corresponds to the sensed eyeline of the passenger, detects a window control action performed by the passenger, and controls the identified window to open or close based on the window control action performed by the passenger. In some implementations, the controller identifies a device of the vehicle that corresponds to the sensed eyeline of the passenger, and operates the identified device based on the sensed eyeline of the passenger, wherein the identified device is a multimedia device or a navigation device of the vehicle.
SIGHT LINE INPUT APPARATUS
A sight line input apparatus includes: a display portion that displays an input item at a position where the input item is viewable from a driver seat; a setup portion that sets a virtual input region at a position displaced from a display region of the display portion toward a driving visual field of the driver, the virtual input region being associated with the input item; a detection portion that detects a sight line position of a driver; and an input controller that performs an input process in accordance with the input item associated with the virtual input region, when the sight line position is in the virtual input region set by the setup portion. When a predetermined operation of the driver is detected, the setup portion changes the virtual input region into a mode that permits the driver to gaze at the virtual input region with ease.
AUTOMOTIVE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
Disclosed is an automotive control system and a method for operating the same, the method including receiving a user input through an input device provided on a steering wheel, and controlling a display that is located in front of a driver's seat based on the user input, wherein the input device is located on one side and an opposing side of the steering wheel and is composed of a display including a touch screen.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE SEAT MONITORING
Embodiments include a vehicle comprising a seat, a first sensor coupled to the seat for detecting a seat angle, and a processor communicatively coupled to the first sensor and the seat, and configured to output a control signal for correcting the seat angle if the seat angle is not within a predetermined range of values. Embodiments also include a method of correcting a position of a vehicle seat having an occupant seated therein. The method comprises receiving, at a processor, an output detected by a sensor unit coupled to the seat; comparing, using the processor, the output to a predetermined threshold to determine whether an alarm condition exists; if it does, outputting a control signal for correcting the seat position, wherein the sensor unit includes an angular position sensor.
Vehicle including display apparatus
A vehicle having a display apparatus includes a main display part installed at a front surface of a center fascia of the vehicle to display an image, and a center panel that traverses the main display part in a width direction of the main display part, wherein the center panel is provided to move in an upper side and lower side direction so as to adjust a display area of the main display part.
CLUSTER SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE CLUSTER SYSTEM
A method of controlling a vehicle cluster includes sensing an object placed on the cluster, determining an area of the cluster covered by the sensed object, and changing a display layout of a display panel included in the cluster on the basis of the determined area.
DISPLAY SYSTEM AND RELATED METHOD
A display system may include a first display apparatus and a second display apparatus. The first display apparatus may include a first image-display surface. The second display apparatus may include a second image-display surface. At least one of the first image-display surface and the second image-display surface may perform at least one of extending and bending in response to at least one of a first condition and a second condition. The first condition may be related to that the second image-display surface moves relative to the first image-display surface. The second condition may be related to that a distance between the first image-display surface and the second image-display surface becomes equal to a predetermined length.
