Method for a driver assistance system for autonomous longitudinal and/or lateral control of a vehicle
A driver assistance system and an operating method thereof are configured and adapted to perform autonomous longitudinal and/or lateral control of a vehicle. At least one control task for longitudinal and/or lateral control of the vehicle can be transferred from the driver to the driver assistance system. This involves informing the driver that a control task can be transferred to the system, and then transferring the control task from the driver to the system in response to the driver ceasing a manual control of this control task.
System and method for synchronizing engine and transmission system operation within an agricultural vehicle
A system and method for controlling a transmission system is provided. One agricultural vehicle includes a vehicle controller configured to instruct an engine controller to maintain an engine at a constant speed and to receive a first signal from a transmission controller indicative of gear shift initiation. The vehicle controller is also configured to instruct the engine controller to maintain the engine at a current torque upon receipt of the first signal and to receive a second signal from the transmission controller indicative of gear shift completion. The vehicle controller is configured to instruct the engine controller to maintain the engine at the constant speed upon receipt of the second signal.
Traveling control apparatus
A traveling control apparatus includes a speed control processor, first and second brake command detectors, a brake control processor, and an operational state setting unit. The speed control processor controls a vehicle speed to cause a vehicle to travel at a target speed, and is switchable between an active operational state and an inactive operational state. The first brake command detector detects a first brake command based on a driver's operation. The brake control processor generates a second brake command based on an environment outside the vehicle. The second brake command detector detects the second brake command. The operational state setting unit maintains the speed control processor in the active operational state when the first brake command is generated while the speed control processor is in the active operational state, and switches the speed control processor to the inactive operational state when the second brake command is generated.
