Additionally, a machine utilizing the method, device, or user interface is provided. The method includes displaying an indication of the presence of automatically reset settings. Upon detecting an actuation of an assigned operating element, a display of a list of the reset settings is generated on a display device, and at least one operating element for restoring at least one reset setting is provided. Thereafter, the actuation of at least one provided operating element is detected, and in response, the at least one reset setting is restored.
