ON-BOARD OPERATION DEVICE
An on-board operation device with improved operability is provided. The on-board operation device includes: a display unit configured to display a GUI object; a first detection unit configured to detect an approach position of an indicator on a display surface of the display unit; a process performing unit configured to perform a process corresponding to the GUI object displayed at the approach position detected by the first detection unit; a second detection unit disposed at an outer edge of the display surface of the display unit and configured to detect an approach position of the indicator; and a display control unit configured to enlarge and display the GUI object on the display unit when the approach position of the indicator is detected by the second detection unit.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A DEVICE
A method for operating a device, wherein a graphical user interface is generated and displayed on a display area. The user interface has at least one operating object assigned to an application program for controlling the device. Output data are generated and displayed in the region of the assigned operating object, wherein the application program has a function having exactly two activatable program states. The first program state is activated and the output data are generated based on the activated program state. An input gesture is detected based on the user interface. The operating object has a first region and a second region and the input gesture is assigned to the first region or to the second region.
Vehicle information display system
A vehicle information display system an operation section provided at one side in a vehicle width direction relative to a driver seat, the operation section being structured so as to be operable by a vehicle occupant; and a display section provided at a position that is viewable from the driver seat, a vicinity information display region in which vicinity information of the vehicle being displayed being specified at a central portion of the display section, and a selection option display region being specified at one side in the vehicle width direction of the display section, relative to the vicinity information display region, the selection option display region being selectable by the vehicle occupant operating the operation section.
AUDIO USER INTERFACE
An audio system, method, and computer readable medium that controls an audio system having a visual display and an input sensor for accepting user selections is provided. The visual display visually presents a primary panel, a first sub-panel, and a second sub-panel. The primary panel occupies a larger area of the visual display than do each of the first sub-panel and the second sub-panel. In various examples, audio and/or telephone configuration settings are displayed depending upon context.
Display device and input device
A display device includes: an outer cover with light transmission properties; a design sheet with light transmission properties provided on the outer cover; a cushion layer with light transmission properties provided on a back surface side of the outer cover; and a light source provided on a back surface side of the cushion layer. When viewed in a cross section, the cushion layer includes: a plurality of first concave portions that are in a convex shape in a first orientation and a concave shape on a side opposite to the convex shape; and a plurality of second concave portions that are connected to the first concave portions and are in a convex shape in a second orientation and a concave shape on a side opposite to the convex shape. The first concave portions and the second concave portions are alternately provided.
Systems and methods for user interfaces in a vehicular environment
Examples are disclosed for systems and methods for user interfaces of a vehicular environment, especially for autonomous vehicles wherein an orientation or attention of the vehicle occupants is not constrained to a direction of motion. In one embodiment, a system for providing visualizations within a vehicular environment comprises at least one touch-sensitive display device positioned adjacent to at least one seat within the vehicular environment and configured to display the visualizations to an occupant of the at least one seat, the at least one touch-sensitive display device moveable from a first position in front of the seat to a second position at an interior wall of the vehicular environment.
NON-CONTACT INTERFACE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A non-contact interface device for a vehicle and a method for controlling the same, may display an operation system menu for a driver and passengers to operate various kinds of devices of the vehicle as a hologram, enable a user to operate the displayed operation system menu in a non-contact manner by use of the user's finger or the like, and provide the user with a tactile feedback for a non-contact operation, so that the user can recognize whether to have operated the menu.
EXTERNAL ROTARY CONTROLLER FOR A VEHICLE
An external control device configured for interaction with a modern vehicle and activation of different functions in a non-distracting manner, and to a system comprising such external control device. The external control device includes a housing with at least one rotary encoder, at least one display, at least one shortcut button, a control unit with a control logic module, and a power module. Each shortcut button activates a pre-configured feature of the vehicle when pressed. Once a feature is selected by a shortcut button, the rotary encoder allows the user to adjust the selected feature by clockwise and counterclockwise rotation.
Motor vehicle and method for controlling a climate control system in a motor vehicle
A method controls a climate control system in a motor vehicle. The method involves displaying climate control information on a primary display, determining that a hand is approaching a manual control element for the climate control system, and displaying climate control information on a secondary display while the hand is approaching the manual control element, before the hand touches the manual control element, the secondary display being a multi-use changeable display that, at different times, displays information for different systems of the motor vehicle. The method may therefore provide the information to the occupant of the vehicle when it is needed, before the climate control system is adjusted.
Multitouch chording language
A multitouch interface application provides a user with access to a multitouch chording language for controlling auxiliary components within a vehicle, where a particular command for a given auxiliary component is specified by a combination of a left-hand gesture and a right-hand gesture. The multitouch interface application receives left-hand gestures from a left-hand touch sensing surface, where a given left-hand gesture corresponds to a selection of mode associated within a given auxiliary component. The multitouch interface application also receives right-hand gestures from a right-hand touch sensing surface, where a given right-hand gesture, in conjunction with a left-hand gesture, corresponds to a command for the given auxiliary component. Upon receiving both a left-hand gesture and a right-hand gesture, the multitouch interface application issues the command to the auxiliary component associated with the selected mode.
