OPERATING AN ASPIRATING FIRE DETECTOR SYSTEM
20220401776 · 2022-12-22 ·

A method of operating an aspirating fire detector system (3) including a fire detector (19), a conduit (7) having an inlet and being connected to the fire detector (19), a ventilator (15) configured to draw air through the inlet of the conduit (7) and into the fire detector (19), a pressure sensor (13) configured to sense the pressure of air being that is drawn through the inlet and into the fire detector (19), and a flow meter (17) configured to measure the flow of the air drawn through the inlet and to the fire detector (19).

Calibrated Flow Rate Sensing and Flow Control Device

A fluid flow rate sensor, which may also be the basis of a valve for a fire suppression system, uses a sensing arm to convey motion of an obturation body or a valve closing member to a sensor system which evaluates the motion and generates a calibrated measure of the flow rate and/or an alarm signal in response if warranted. The obturation body and the valve closing member are capable of both rotation and translational motion, both of which are sensed using the sensing arm. The sensor system is isolated from the fluid within the valve.

Unmanned system (US) for safety device testing

Methods, devices, and systems for an unmanned system (US) for safety device testing are described herein. In some examples, one or more embodiments include a processor and a memory having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to capture, using an imaging device of the US, an image of a safety device, determine information corresponding to the safety device based on the image, communicate the determined information to a fire system network, receive, from the fire system network, a test procedure associated with the safety device, perform the test procedure on the safety device, and communicate a result of the test procedure to the fire system network.

Control valve assembly with test, drain and adjustable pressure relief valve

A test, drain and adjustable pressure relief module for a sprinkler system has a single body with three independent and fluidly connectable flow ports. A first port of the three flow ports is fluidly connectable at an inlet side thereof to the sprinkler system. A second port of the three flow ports has an adjustable pressure relief valve removably mounted to an outlet thereof. The valve is biased into a closed position and a threshold pressure is required to open the valve and discharge fluid is selectively adjustable. A third port of the three flow ports has an open outlet end configured to removably connect with a drainage pipe. The three ports form a Tee connection and have a flow valve therebetween to selectively direct flow between an outlet of the first port and at least one of the respective inlets of the second and third ports.
