VEHICLE TRAVELING SIMULATION SYSTEM, VEHICLE TRAVELING SIMULATION METHOD AND ACTIVATION DEVICE
In a vehicle traveling simulation system, a multimedia device has at least a test target function among in-vehicle media functions. An activation device activates the multimedia device. A plurality of external terminal devices is respectively provided at different positions from the multimedia device. A data acquisition unit of the activation device is able to acquire vehicle state data simulating a vehicle state when a vehicle is traveling from the plurality of external terminal devices. An input unit inputs, to the multimedia device, activation data corresponding to the vehicle state data. The multimedia device is activated based on the input activation data.
IN-VEHICLE DEVICE
There is provided with an in-vehicle device. A peripheral image display unit captures a periphery of a vehicle and display a captured image. A control unit controls the peripheral image display unit. The control unit starts display by the peripheral image display unit if a start instruction of the vehicle is detected, and restricts the display if the start instruction is made by remote control from an outside of the vehicle even if the start instruction is detected.
Co-pilot and conversational companion
Methods and systems for communicating with a vehicle companion are disclosed. The vehicle companion can include receiving state information about an operator and environmental information about a vehicular environment. A cognitive load and a cognitive requirement can be determined using the state information and the environmental information, respectively. The cognitive load and the cognitive requirement are then compared to determine if an intervention indicator exists. The vehicle companion can then enter into conversation with the operator in response to the intervention indicator, including topics selected based on the operator's personality.
Configurable vehicle console
A vehicle comprises a console that includes a separator sheet extendable beyond boundaries of the console, and at least one of a human-machine interface; a passive restraint, a storage container, and a vent.
Screen for a free and a restricted viewing mode
An illuminating apparatus for a screen operable in at least two operating modes, viz B1 for a free viewing mode and B2 for a restricted viewing mode. The illuminating apparatus comprising: a backlight with a planar extension radiating light in a restricted angular range; a plate-shaped light guide that is, in a viewing direction, arranged in front of the backlight and with outcoupling elements one of the large surfaces and/or within its volume. The light guide is transparent to at least 70% of the light emitted by the backlight and light sources are arranged laterally at the edges of the light guide. Various parameters are specified for the number of outcoupling elements per unit area and for their extension, and in operating mode B2, the backlight is switched on and the light sources are switched off. In operating mode B1 at least the light sources are switched on.
SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING A MAIN MONITOR OF AN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
The invention relates to a control system (2) for controlling a main monitor (10) of a motor vehicle, said control system (2), configured so as to be installed on a central console (12), comprising a display screen and a touchscreen. Said control system (2) has a first mode of operation in which said display screen is in an inactive state and the touchscreen is in a basic configuration, and a second mode of operation in which said display screen is in an active state and the touchscreen is in an advanced configuration; the control system furthermore comprises a control module configured so as to put the control system into said first mode of operation when the vehicle is in a driven driving mode or into said second mode of operation when the vehicle is in an autonomous driving mode.
PREDICTIVE INTERFACE FOR A CONSOLIDATED VEHICLE INFORMATION CLUSTER
Provided herein is a consolidated vehicle information system or information cluster. The information cluster can include a vehicle based data processing system to generate a plurality of predictive content items corresponding to a user of a vehicle. The information cluster can include a predictive interface having a plurality of displays to display predictive content items. The vehicle based data processing system can arrange the plurality of predictive content items within the plurality of displays based on relevance scores assigned to the predictive content items. The vehicle based data processing system can receive a first input corresponding to a first predictive content item and identify a first application corresponding to the first predictive content item. The vehicle based data processing system can generate updated relevance scores and modify the arrangement of the predictive content items within the displays based on the updated second relevance scores.
SEPARATE OPERATING SYSTEMS FOR DASHBOARD DISPLAY
Systems and methods for outputting to a vehicle dashboard screen from multiple operating systems are described in this disclosure. The systems and methods use a computing device to host different types of applications in the operating systems. A first of the operating systems runs driving-critical applications, and a second of the operating systems can run non-driving-critical applications. The first operating system has direct access to display hardware on the computing device, and can include security features to prevent it from being compromised. Outputs generated by the non-driving-critical applications in the second operating system are sent to the first operating system, where the outputs are combined with outputs from the driving-critical applications, to create a series of composite images for display on the dashboard screen. Either the first operating system or the second operating system can control the whole dashboard screen based on predetermined configurations.
ON-BOARD VEHICLE QUERY SYSTEM
Generally described, the present disclosure relates to the efficient management and compact presentation of data or content with respect to a vehicle. For example, an operator of a vehicle may desire content related to vehicle operation, including, among many other forms of data, user manual information, warranty information, parts data, maintenance logs, etc. The disclosed techniques can use query inputs to optimize data presentation and provide augmented data to a user via an interactive user interface.
Steering Wheel Interface Module with Retained Presets
A steering wheel control interface module that can automatically detect the type of vehicle it is installed in and automatically detect the type of aftermarket radio it is sending messages to. In addition, the interface module can retain certain user pre-selects and use those to properly set the state of an aftermarket radio.
