VIRTUAL FOOTREST APPARATUS
Apparatus for a vehicle is provided such that the throttle pedal can act as a virtual footrest. The apparatus comprises a pedal adapted to be depressed by a driver and a restriction mechanism adapted to restrict the displacement of the pedal. The apparatus also comprises a visual sign which enters a first illuminated state in response to activation of the footrest mode. The visual sign remains in the first illuminated state whilst the restriction mechanism retains the pedal in the footrest position, and is extinguished when footrest mode or cruise control is cancelled. The visual sign enters a second illuminated state when the pedal is subjected to a force greater than a first threshold value, so as to push the pedal past through the footrest position whilst in the footrest mode.
Information display device mounted in vehicle including detector
An information display device mounted in a vehicle, the vehicle including a detector detecting an object around the vehicle, the information display device includes a display configured to display a vehicle object corresponding to the vehicle, and a display region disposed on a side of the vehicle in a first direction, the first direction extending from the vehicle object, the first direction corresponding to a second direction extending from the vehicle, the display region having a constant size and a constant shape and at least one electronic control unit configured to calculate a risk degree indicating information of the risk of an object around the vehicle and the vehicle approaching each other in the second direction based on a detection result of the detector, and change an appearance of the display region based on a magnitude of the risk degree.
Lane change assistant
A computing device in a vehicle can determine a time bound for a lane change maneuver based on determining a reaction time, an occupant acceptance time, a vehicle maneuver time and a maneuver cancellation time and request authorization to perform the lane change maneuver. The computing device can determine the time bound has expired, and cancel the authorization request based on the expired time bound.
Control method for coasting of eco-friendly vehicle
A coasting control method of an eco-friendly vehicle includes steps of acquiring deceleration event information and road gradient information in front of a vehicle during driving, by a controller in the vehicle, determining target vehicle speed in a deceleration event in consideration of road gradient based on the deceleration event information and the road gradient information, by the controller, determining expected vehicle speed while the vehicle is decelerated in a coasting state, based on current vehicle speed, by the controller, determining a start location for starting coasting based on target vehicle speed in consideration of current vehicle speed of the vehicle and the road gradient and expected vehicle speed at a target location as a deceleration event location, by the controller, and operating an information provider for coasting guidance and coasting induction to a driver at a start location, by the controller.
VEHICLE INFORMATION OUTPUT DEVICE AND VEHICLE INFORMATION OUTPUT SYSTEM
A vehicle information output device (100) includes an output unit (110) configured to output information to inside of a vehicle, a starting unit (104) configured to execute starting processing in a case that the power supply is turned on, a communication unit (120) configured to communicate with an external device via a network, a communication control unit (134) configured to acquire output information stored in the external device via the communication unit, and an output control unit (136) configured to cause the output unit to output the output information acquired by the communication control unit before starting processing by the starting unit is completed.
MULTI-COLOR ILLUMINATION DEVICE
Multi-color illumination devices that can be used in various indicator-related or ambient lighting applications, particularly for vehicles. In accordance with one embodiment, the multi-color illumination device includes a light guide having a first end and a second end, a first light source located adjacent the first end of the light guide, and a second light source located adjacent the second end of the light guide. The multi-color illumination device is configured for attachment to a controller configured to illuminate the first light source, the second light source, or both the first light source and the second light source in accordance with one or more operation parameters to provide a status indication.
Apparatus and method for providing optimal gear advice
A method and apparatus for providing an indication to a driver of a geared vehicle that the vehicle is not in an optimal gear is disclosed. The method comprises determining a current gear of the vehicle and determining a current speed of a drive unit of the vehicle. An indication is then provided to the driver of the vehicle that the vehicle is not in an optimal gear when: (i) the determined current speed of the drive unit is greater than a predetermined threshold; and (ii) the determined current gear of the vehicle is less than a maximum gear of the vehicle. A method and apparatus is also disclosed for determining a score indicative of the amount of time during a journey on a road network that a geared vehicle is driven in an optimal gear.
PROJECTION TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD OF PROJECTION TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE, CONTROL PROGRAM OF PROJECTION TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided are a projection type display device, a control method of a projection type display device, and a control program of a projection type display device, capable of fixing a position of a combiner to a desired position to enhance usability without imposing a burden on an operator of a working machine. An HUD 100 includes a rotating part 15A that supports the combiner 12 to be rotatable between an in-use position and a withdrawal position, a locking mechanism 15B that prohibits rotation of the combiner 12, and a projection display section 50 that spatially modulates light emitted from a light source on the basis of image information, and projects image light obtained through the spatial modulation onto a projection surface 12A of the combiner 12 to display an image based on the image light, a locking mechanism controller 63 that controls the locking mechanism 15B on the basis of a traveling state of a construction machine 1 or an operating state of a bucket 4A.
Method and system for displaying driving modes of a vehicle
The invention relates to a method for displaying driving modes of a vehicle (6). The vehicle (6) can be operated in at least two different driving modes. In the method according to the invention, it is ascertained whether the vehicle (6) is being operated in a first or a second driving mode. In the first driving mode, a first actuator carries out a first action, and in the second driving mode, a second actuator carries out the first action. A first graphical element (7) which represents the first actuator and a second graphical element (8) which represents the second actuator are generated on a display surface (3). Depending on whether the vehicle (6) is in the first or the second driving mode, a first graphical action element (9, 10) which represents the first action is generated with the first (7) and/or second graphical element (8). The invention further relates to a system (1) for displaying driving modes of a vehicle (6).
