Contextual autonomous vehicle support through speech interaction
An autonomous vehicle including a sensor system that outputs a sensor signal indicative of a condition of the autonomous vehicle. The vehicle also includes a communication system including a speaker. Based upon a profile of the passenger, the autonomous vehicle can determine that support is to be provided audibly to the passenger when the support is provided to the passenger. Moreover, the autonomous vehicle can detect occurrence of an event that has been identified as potentially causing discomfort to the passenger based upon the sensor signal output by the sensor system. Responsive to detecting the occurrence of the event, and in accordance with the profile of the passenger, the autonomous vehicle can cause the speaker to output an audible support message. Content of the audible support message is based on the detected event, and the audible support message solicits feedback from the passenger of the autonomous vehicle.
Information presentation device and information presentation method
An information presentation device, mounted on a vehicle for which automatic evacuation control functions when it is difficult for a driver to continue driving the vehicle, and presenting information to an occupant of the vehicle except the driver by a display in a display area that is visually recognizable by the occupant, includes: an operation information acquisition unit that acquires operation information of the automatic evacuation control; and a display generation unit that generates an occupant notification display that is displayed in the display area to notify information relating to the automatic evacuation control when the automatic evacuation control is in operation. The occupant notification display includes: an explanatory image that shows an explanation of a process executed currently; and a progress image that indicates a degree of progress in the automatic evacuation control.
VEHICLE DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
An electronic device configured to charge an occupant in a vehicle. The electronic device includes: an interface unit configured to exchange signals with at least one internal camera configured to capture at least one image of an inside of a cabin of the vehicle; at least one processor; and at least one computer memory that is operably connectable to the at least one processor and that has stored thereon instructions which, when executed, cause the at least one processor to perform operations including: receiving, through the interface unit, image data that was generated based on processing the at least one image of the inside of the cabin captured by the at least one internal camera; and generating cost charging data based on a motion of a user detected from the received image data.
Automatic drive control device and automatic drive control method
With conventional automatic drive control, no consideration is given to whether the driver is in a condition to be able to drive the vehicle properly when automatic driving is cancelled. Accordingly, an automatic drive control device is switchable between a manual driving mode in which driving operation by the driver of the vehicle is required, and an automatic driving mode in which driving operation by the driver of the vehicle is not required. The device is equipped with: a surrounding conditions recognition unit for recognizing surrounding conditions of the vehicle; an information notification unit for notifying the driver of the vehicle; and an automatic drive control unit for carrying out control of the vehicle in automatic driving mode, and controlling the information notification unit in such a way as to alert the driver of the vehicle on the basis of the surrounding conditions recognized by the surrounding conditions recognition unit.
Vehicle control device mounted on vehicle and method for controlling the vehicle
A method for assisted parking of a vehicle performed by a parking control device. The method includes: determining a current position of a vehicle based on at least one of GPS information or environment information of the vehicle; generating traveling map information during manual driving of the vehicle, the traveling map information including a traveling path of the vehicle from the current position of the vehicle, based on at least one user input received through a vehicle manipulation device and at least one sensor value acquired through at least one sensor; and transmitting, based on receiving a rollback request signal, a rollback control signal that causes the vehicle to autonomously drive in a reverse direction along at least part of the traveling path from a rollback starting position of the vehicle.
VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicle display device includes: an emitting part that is mounted in a vehicle and emits a display light; a housing that accommodates the emitting part in an inner accommodation space; and a last mirror that reflects the display light emitted from the emitting part toward a windshield provided in a front of the vehicle in a vehicle front-back direction and causes the windshield to reflect the display light toward a presumed eye point. The windshield has a rising angle on a side of the eye point relative to a horizontal direction of equal to or greater than 60 and equal to or less than 90. The last mirror is provided outside the accommodation space as a whole, and is located between the windshield and the eye point EP in the vehicle front-back direction and opposed to the windshield.
SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING A MAIN MONITOR OF AN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
The invention relates to a control system (2) for controlling a main monitor (10) of a motor vehicle, said control system (2), configured so as to be installed on a central console (12), comprising a display screen and a touchscreen. Said control system (2) has a first mode of operation in which said display screen is in an inactive state and the touchscreen is in a basic configuration, and a second mode of operation in which said display screen is in an active state and the touchscreen is in an advanced configuration; the control system furthermore comprises a control module configured so as to put the control system into said first mode of operation when the vehicle is in a driven driving mode or into said second mode of operation when the vehicle is in an autonomous driving mode.
STEERING DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, METHOD FOR OPERATING A STEERING DEVICE, CONTROL UNIT, AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A steering handle for a steering apparatus of a motor vehicle includes an end face which faces a user when the steering handle is in a position of use and a display element arranged on a side of the steering handle which faces away from the end face. A control device carries out a method by which a position of the steering handle is changed based on a driving mode set by a driver assistance device. The control device generates an adjustment signal to change between a position of use of the steering handle and a position of rest of the steering handle. When the steering handle is in a position of rest, a surface of the steering handle which faces away from the user when the steering handle is in the position of use instead faces the user.
Contextual autonomous vehicle support through written interaction
An autonomous vehicle including a sensor system that outputs a sensor signal indicative of a condition of the autonomous vehicle. The vehicle also includes a user interface device with a display. A computing system determines, based upon a profile of the passenger, that support is to be provided textually to the passenger when the support is provided to the passenger. The computing system further detects occurrence of an event that has been identified as potentially causing discomfort to the passenger. The computing system yet further sets a predefined support message defined in an account corresponding to the event maintained in a database prior to occurrence of the event as a support message to be presented to the passenger. The computing system additionally causes the display to present the support message textually, wherein the textual support message solicits feedback from the passenger of the autonomous vehicle.
