AUGMENTED VIRTUAL DISPLAY

A VR system for vehicles that may implement methods that address problems with vehicles in motion that may result in motion sickness for passengers. The VR system may provide augmented or virtual views that match visual cues with the physical motions that a passenger experiences. The VR system may project virtual content so that the content appears as a distant object stabilized or fixed in the external environment. The VR system may aid in productivity, as passengers may perform work while riding in the vehicle without experiencing motion sickness. In addition, the VR system may provide enhanced virtual experiences to passengers in moving vehicles by matching accelerations and motions of the vehicle to accelerations and motions in the virtual experiences.

An avatar interface of a virtual assistant is presented to a user in a motor vehicle and a predefined set of accessible elements is provided to be selected by the user. The accessible elements may be operating functions and/or information data. When at least one user statement of the user is received over the avatar interface; a question-answering logic is operated in the virtual assistant for determining at least one of the accessible elements that the user requests by the at least one user statement; and the at least one identified accessible element is made available to the user.

PRESENTATION TO USER OF INDICATION OF OBJECT AT WHICH ANOTHER PERSON IS LOOKING

In one aspect, a device includes at least one processor, a display accessible to the at least one processor, and storage accessible to the at least one processor. The storage includes instructions executable by the at least one processor to receive input regarding an object at which one person is looking and to present, to another person via the display, a graphical indication regarding the object.

VEHICLE HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACE IN RESPONSE TO STRAINED EYE DETECTION

A vehicle system in a vehicle, comprising a first sensor configured to survey an environment proximate to the vehicle, including an object outside of the vehicle, a second sensor located within a vehicle cabin and configured to obtain data indicative of facial information of an occupant of the vehicle, and a processor in communication with the first and second sensors and programmed to output information regarding the object on a display of the vehicle system in response to the data indicative of the facial information indicating that the occupant is viewing the object outside of the vehicle.

ACTIVE VEHICLE VIRTUAL REALITY PREVENTION OF PREDICTIVE MOTION SICKNESS

A negator module of a predictive motion system determines initial parameters for a passenger profile using a virtual reality system of an autonomous vehicle. The negator module receives upcoming driving conditions from an autonomous navigation system of the autonomous vehicle during a ride in which the passenger resides in a seat of the autonomous vehicle and uses the virtual reality system. Using a cognitive model, the negator module predicts a cognitive state of the passenger based on the passenger profile and the upcoming driving conditions. The negator module determines commands for actuators coupled to the seat and commands for the virtual reality system that match the predicted cognitive state of the passenger. The negator module sends the commands to the actuators and the virtual reality system to be executed.

VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE ON IN-VEHICLE CLUSTER

A vehicle includes: an image sensor configured to acquire a front image; a navigation system configured to provide object information indicating information on one or more objects in front of the vehicle; a controller configured to generate a composite image of the acquired front image having the object information when the acquired front image includes at least object among the one or more objects; and a cluster configured to output the generated composite image.

Content visualizing device and method

A content visualizing device and method that may adjust content based on a distance to an object so as to maintain a projection plane and prevent an overlap with the object in front is provided.

Display device

Provided is a display device that allows a distance from a display medium to an object ahead to be easily ascertained. The display device includes a display unit that projects a light beam onto a windshield so as to be reflected from the windshield such that a virtual image is displayed in a space further than the windshield in the depth direction, and a controller that controls the display unit so that a reference pattern to be superimposed on a pedestrian present in the space is displayed so as to correspond to the position of the pedestrian.

Mobile real-time driving safety systems and methods

A system and method may track data from one or more sensors during vehicle driving. Based on the sensors data, one or more alerts or potential hazards may be identified. The system and method may generate a drive summary including information and optional statistics about the alerts or potential hazards.

The present invention presents highly useful information while emphasizing the sense of perspective of a route guidance image. According to the present invention, a processor displays a route guidance image 200 on a head-up display device 20 such that the width Wn of a nearby region of the route guidance image 200 in the left-right direction is longer than the width Wf of a faraway region in the left-right direction. When increasing the scale of the route guidance image 200, the processor increases the ratio (Wf/Wn) of the faraway width Wf to the nearby width Wn.
