Provided are an apparatus and method for selectively selecting and controlling interior and exterior displays of a vehicle. The apparatus includes an input unit configured to receive driving environment information, a memory configured to store a program for controlling interior and exterior displays of a vehicle according to a driving environment, and a processor configured to execute the program. The processor controls at least one of the interior and exterior displays to selectively project display information in consideration of the driving environment information by transmitting a control command signal for the at least one of the interior and exterior displays.
DUAL VIEW VEHICLE DISPLAY
Systems and methods for providing a dual view display for a vehicle including an autonomous driving system. The autonomous driving system may monitor an environment in which the vehicle is operating, sense a condition in the environment, and determine a vehicle response to the condition including one or more automated vehicle actions. Condition-associated data including information about the sensed/perceived condition and/or the one or more corresponding automated vehicle actions to the condition may be provided to a dual view display system. The dual view display system may determine a notification corresponding to the perceived condition and/or the automated vehicle intention and cause the notification to be displayed on a transparent display. The transparent display provides an operator interface to communicate the vehicle perception/intention to the vehicle operator. The transparent display further provides an external Human-Machine Interface (eHMI) to communicate the vehicle perception/intention to other road users.

The invention relates to a vehicle having a detection device for detecting a property of a vehicle occupant and an operator control and display device which is coupled to the detection device, has a display region and is configured to display information in the display region and by means of which a symbol can be displayed in the display region as a function of the sensed property. It is provided here that the property which is detected by means of the detection device is a position of the vehicle occupant, and the operator control and display device is configured to display the symbol in a partial region of the display region which is determined as a function of the detected position, and to assign the symbol to the vehicle occupant in such a way that when there is a change in position of the vehicle occupant that the symbol follows the vehicle occupant. The invention also relates to a method for operating such a vehicle. The invention makes particularly flexible use of the vehicle possible.

System and method for operating a multiple display assembly
A method, system, and display assembly are disclosed herein. The methods and system are directed to operating the multiple display assemblies included herein. The methods and system receive information, and based on the received information, engage at least a second display of the multiple display assembly. Also included herein is a multiple display assembly that incorporates an engager function to receive instruction instigate modes where a first display and a second display are provided.

A vehicle information display control device includes: an automatic driving information obtaining unit that obtains automatic driving information including information indicating that each actuator of a vehicle is in a manual control mode or an automatic control mode; and a display controller that displays images on a first display area and a second display area of a display based on the automatic driving information. The display controller displays an image corresponding to an actuator in the manual control mode on the first display area and an image corresponding to an actuator in the automatic control mode on the second display area.

A method of operating a controller of a vehicle human machine interface (HMI) is disclosed, comprising: providing first output control signals configured to cause a vehicular head up display (HUD) to present first content to a vehicle operator; and providing second output control signals configured to cause a vehicular digital cluster display (DCD) to present second content to the vehicle operator, different to the first content. The method can further comprise the receiving input control signals from a touch sensitive steering wheel, for interacting with the information presented on the HUD and/or DUD. An information display apparatus that displays image information on a vehicle includes a HUD apparatus projecting a large-scale virtual image onto a distant position and serving as a first information display apparatus arranged between a windshield glass of the vehicle and an instrument panel, and effectively displays a plurality of pieces of the image information by making coordination with a second information display apparatus close to the windshield glass, the second information display apparatus causing a transparent dispersion sheet in the windshield glass to directly reflect a screen of a large-10 scale high-resolution image display panel so that the screen is observed by the driver.
