FireFighter1
20230293922 · 2023-09-21 ·

A fire defense system designed to provide quick access to pool water during a fire emergency. System is lightweight, compact, simple to use, cost effective & designed to stay readily available so a user can extract pool water to combat fire or create defensible space. In its preferred embodiment, FireFighter1 consists of a fire hose with spray nozzle on one end and male adapter on other, female mating adapter for pool pump, a water diverter, and is housed for easy release. FireFighter1 connects to 3-way diverter installed on the pool pump with mating adapter. In the event of a fire emergency, FireFighter1 hose is connected to the female adapter; 3-way diverter is positioned on; pool skimmer line is plugged; pool pump is turned on; the accordion folds expand releasing hose and user aims nozzle to spray pool water to protect assets, to fight fire, and/or to create defensible space.

System, apparatus and method for arresting propagation of a deflagration in a clean air return duct of an air-material separator

Disclosed herein are a system, method, and apparatus for arresting flames in an air return line. The apparatus includes a flame barrier containing one or more metal mesh layers and configured to permit airflow there through while preventing flame break-through. The flame barrier can also have or be connected to one or more temperature or pressure sensors configured to detect blockage of airflow through the flame barrier and to detect damage to the flame barrier. The apparatus can also include additional temperature or pressure sensors for detecting the propagation of deflagration in the air return line.

A method of fire suppression may include injecting a reactive agent into a reaction zone to produce a catalytically active species for fire suppression and conveying the catalytically active species to a fire to catalytically interfere with flame chemistry of the fire. Fire in a fuel tank may be suppressed by injecting the reactive agent into a convective flow of a mixture of fuel and oxidizer in a fuel tank, the reactive agent reacting in the fuel tank to release a species which catalytically interferes with flame chemistry to suppress fire in the fuel tank. Fire at an airplane crash may be suppressed by releasing the reactive agent from the container at the crash site to produce an active species to catalytically interfere with a fire at the crash site.

Device for testing control of polymorphic foam on flowing fire

The present invention discloses a device for testing control of polymorphic foam on flowing fire, comprising a test bench, a combustible liquid injecting mechanism and a polymorphic foam spraying mechanism. The combustible liquid injecting mechanism and the polymorphic foam spraying mechanism are relatively arranged on the test bench. The combustible liquid injecting mechanism can spray combustible liquid to the test bench. The polymorphic foam spraying mechanism can spray polymorphic foam to the test bench, and the spraying direction of the polymorphic foam is relative to the spraying direction of the combustible liquid. The present invention can be used for testing and observing cut-off and control effects of polymorphic foam on combustible liquid flowing fire.

Electrical Power Generation and Architecture Structure for Controlling an Acoustic Fire Suppression System
20230277886 · 2023-09-07 ·

An electrical scheme and architecture intended for a Fire Suppression System utilizing resonant or impulsive acoustic waves. The system is capable of surviving within an active wildfire environment and harvesting energy from the fire to power itself or actively diverting thermal energy for temporary cooling. The electrical systems optimize and modulate the fire suppression acoustic wave output for the changing ambient environment and actively tune the system to reduce power requirements.
