VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE
A vehicle display device includes: a display unit that is disposed in a host vehicle and that displays an image; an imaging unit that captures an image of circumstances surrounding the host vehicle; and a controller configured to perform processing through which, by controlling the display unit, a virtual vehicle image representing a virtual vehicle imitating the host vehicle is displayed, and the image of the circumstances surrounding the host vehicle captured by the imaging unit is pasted for display as a reflected image representing reflection in the host vehicle onto an outer panel of the virtual vehicle represented by the virtual vehicle image.
PRESENTATION TO USER OF INDICATION OF OBJECT AT WHICH ANOTHER PERSON IS LOOKING
In one aspect, a device includes at least one processor, a display accessible to the at least one processor, and storage accessible to the at least one processor. The storage includes instructions executable by the at least one processor to receive input regarding an object at which one person is looking and to present, to another person via the display, a graphical indication regarding the object.
Method for controlling a display device for a vehicle and vehicle with a display device
A representation of information on a movably mounted display surface is controlled depending on the available space on the display surface. In order to allow an optimal usability of the display surface a portion of the display surface which is hidden from view of a passenger compartment when the display surface moves physically and a remaining, still visible portion of the display surface, are defined. The remaining, still visible portion, defines the available space on the display surface. In addition, depending on the physical movement of the display surface and a consequential accompanying size change of the visible portion, a layout of the representation of the information is changed such that the information is displayed on the visible portion.
VEHICLE WITH SMART TOUCH
The invention relates to a vehicle (2) comprising: a chassis (4) which is supported on wheels (6, 8) such that it can be driven in a direction of travel (5) for carrying a driver, a steering element (16) for the driver to specify the direction of travel (6), a reproduction element (48) which is arranged in the field of view of the driver in front of said driver when viewed in the direction of travel, and which is designed to display a menu (50) containing a number of menu elements (52) which are arranged to form a grid, and an input interface (36) comprising a pressure plate (40) which is arranged on the steering element (16) comprising a top side (42) and a bottom side which is situated opposite the top side (42), wherein a number of segments (44) which are arranged to form the grid (46) and can be detected in a haptic manner are formed on the top side (42) of the pressure plate (40), and wherein the number of the menu elements (52) corresponds to the number of segments (44) which can be detected in a haptic manner, so that one segment (44), which can be detected in a haptic manner, on the pressure plate (40) is assigned to each menu element (52) of the menu (50).
Driver interface system
A driver interface system includes a steering wheel assembly and a display. The steering wheel assembly includes a variable-function input device. The variable-function input device includes a plurality of assignable functions and a present function being one of the plurality of assignable functions. The display is configured to display an image corresponding to the present function of the variable-function input device. The driver interface system may include a plurality of display modes, and in response to a change in display mode, the driver interface system may change the present function in the plurality of assignable functions. The steering wheel assembly may also include a touchpad configured to receive a handwritten input, and the display may be configured to display an image corresponding to the handwritten input.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a display unit for displaying a moving body speed being a speed of a moving body, a first speed that is arbitrarily settable by a driver, and a second speed that is not arbitrarily settable by the driver. The display unit includes a display having a drawing function, and a frame member disposed to overlap the display. The display includes a display area spanning an inner side and an outer side of the frame member. The display displays the moving body speed and the first speed on the inner side of the frame member, and displays the second speed on the outer side of the frame member.
INFORMATION CONVEYANCE METHOD DURING AUTOMATIC DRIVING, AND IN-VEHICLE INFORMATION PRESENTATION DEVICE
The present invention ascertains an action schedule of an automatic driving system when a host vehicle is travelling in an automatic driving mode, and uses an indirect weak expression to convey the action schedule to a driver, at an action schedule presentation start location (P2) which has more leeway with respect to a scheduled action location (P1) (steps S16, S18). In the case of an acceleration/deceleration action schedule, an illuminance distribution of the speedometer dial plate, a virtual pointer or the like is used to express the action schedule such that the driver is able to intuitively ascertain the acceleration or deceleration. In the case of a steering action schedule, the steering direction is expressed using a change in illumination near the steering wheel representing the direction of steering or the like is used.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD
A display device includes an image generation device which allows a viewer to visually recognize an image overlaid on a landscape, and a control device which controls the image generation device, wherein the control device infers a degree to which a viewer of the image has understood information represented by the image and controls the light projection device such that a visual attractiveness of the image is changed in response to the inferred degree of understanding.
DISPLAY FOR A VEHICLE INCLUDING A HOLOGRAM
A vehicle may include a display for producing a hologram. The display may include a backlight unit for showing visual content. The display may include an instrument cluster. The instrument cluster may include one or more gauges, such as one or more graphical gauges, analog gauges, or hybrid gauges. The visual content may be in addition to and separate from the hologram. The display may include an illumination frame positioned in front of the backlight unit. The illumination frame may include one or more light elements. The display may include a holographic layer positioned in front of the backlight unit. The holographic layer may include a plurality of holographic layers. The one or more light elements may be configured to emit light through the holographic layer to produce the hologram.
Systems and Methods for Communicating Intent of an Autonomous Vehicle
The present disclosure provides systems and methods to communicate intent of an autonomous vehicle. In particular, the systems and methods of the present disclosure can receive, from an autonomy computing system of an autonomous vehicle, data indicating an intent of the autonomous vehicle to perform a driving maneuver. It can be determined that the intent of the autonomous vehicle should be communicated to a passenger of the autonomous vehicle. Responsive to determining that the intent of the autonomous vehicle should be communicated to the passenger of the autonomous vehicle, a graphical interface indicating the intent of the autonomous vehicle can be generated and provided for display for viewing by the passenger.
