An input system includes a first touch input unit on which a touch operation is performed; a second touch input unit on which a touch operation is performed; and a processing unit configured to control display of a display unit using operation information that is acquired from any one touch input unit of the first touch input unit and the second touch input unit. The processing unit does not use operation information from an other touch input unit of the first touch input unit and the second touch input unit in display control for the display unit until a non-input time of the one touch input unit exceeds a first predetermined cancellation time, the non-input time of the one touch input unit being a time during which there is no input to the one touch input unit.

Systems and methods for providing content on a vehicle are disclosed herein. When the vehicle is in motion, an audio user interface element is displayed on a user interface. Upon selection of the user interface element, a plurality of audio content identifiers are displayed on the user interface. When the vehicle is in motion, the user interface excludes a video user interface element. When it is determined the vehicle is not in motion, both the audio user interface element and the video user interface are displayed on the user interface. Upon selection of the video user interface element a plurality of video content identifiers are displayed on the user interface.

A vehicle infotainment system is provided. The vehicle infotainment system includes a display screen for displaying a plurality of applications and a controller communicatively coupled to the display screen. The controller is also configured to receive a user input to activate a first application of the plurality of applications. The controller is further configured to transition the first application into an active state. In addition, the controller is configured to display the active first application to the left of the plurality of inactive applications on the display screen.

According to one aspect, driver management is provided. One or more speech segments of a driver of an autonomous vehicle may be recorded. A position, a destination, or a previous destination of a driver or an autonomous vehicle may be tracked. An estimated state of the driver may be determined based on one or more of the speech segments, the position, the destination, or the previous destination, and a calendar event associated with the driver or a passenger of the autonomous vehicle. Autonomous driving features may be automatically enabled, disabled, or operation of the autonomous vehicle may be enabled or disabled in different modes based on the estimated state of the driver. Additionally, notifications may be displayed, rideshare applications may be launched, or warnings may be sent based on the estimated state of the driver.

A display device (100) for a vehicle includes: a plurality of display units (170, 180) which are mounted in the vehicle; an operation unit (110) that is configured to accept an operation of selecting content that is displayed on some or all of the plurality of display units; a determination unit (120) that determines a sitting position of a person who operates the operation unit; and a display control unit (130) that is configured to cause any one of the plurality of display units to display content on the basis of an operation that is accepted by the operation unit and a determination result of the determination unit. In a state in which content is displayed on any one of the plurality of display units, in a case where an operation of performing display of new content is accepted by the operation unit, the display control unit is configured to change a display aspect of the content that is already displayed on the basis of a determination result of the sitting position by the determination unit.

Techniques are described that facilitate remotely interfacing with a vehicle touchscreen. According to an embodiment, a method is provided comprising determining touch controls included in a GUI configured for displaying on a touchscreen of the vehicle, wherein the touch controls provide for controlling functions of the vehicle based on first interaction with the touch controls as displayed on the touchscreen. The method further comprises generating a representation of the GUI for display via an auxiliary display of the auxiliary device, the representation comprising one or more graphical controls corresponding to one or more touch controls of the touch controls, and enabling remote control of one or more functions of the functions of the vehicle by the auxiliary device based on second interaction with the one or more graphical controls as displayed via the auxiliary display.

Technologies and techniques for operating of a touch-sensitive display device of a vehicle. A processor display generates content on the touch-sensitive display device, wherein the content includes assigned elements configured to function in a display mode and an operating mode, depending on a user's presence in at least one of a first position and a second position of the vehicle. A sensing apparatus detects an approach by a user toward the touch-sensitive display device. The processor identifies that the user is in the second position relative to the display device, and, based on the identifying, changes an operating state of the display device to change at least one display mode element of the display content assigned to the second position from display mode to operating mode.
