Vehicle cabin interior lighting device
There is provided a vehicle cabin interior lighting device including: a light source that emits light; a polarizing member that converts the emitted light into p-polarized light; and a projection portion that is provided at an upper portion of an instrument panel, and onto which the p-polarized light is projected, and that reflects the projected p-polarized light without changing its polarization characteristics, and that causes the projected p-polarized light to be incident on a front windshield glass at Brewster's angle.
SELF ADJUSTING RETENTION FEATURE FOR APPLIQUE ASSEMBLY
A gauge assembly includes a dial face with a scale indicative of a vehicle operating parameter. The dial face includes an opening proximate the scale and an illuminable tick mark that extends through the opening in the dial face with the tick mark being larger than the opening.
Method For Producing A Light-Guiding Element, Light-Guiding Element, Illumination Element And Operating Element For A Vehicle
The invention relates to a method for producing a fiber optic element (102). An optical fiber (106) is coated at least in part with a transparent metal layer (108) by sputtering at least one metallic diffuser thereon.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY AND MOVING OBJECT
A head-up display includes a light source unit including first light source elements emitting lights of a first luminescent color and second light source elements emitting lights of a second luminescent color. The head-up display includes a first lens, a diffusion member, a spatial light modulation element that modulates the light emitted from the light source unit and transmitted through the first lens and the diffusion member, and an optical unit that projects the light emitted from the spatial light modulation element. The first lens changes an optical path of the light emitted from the light source unit, and the lights emitted from the first light source element and the second light source element are superimposed in a predetermined region on the incident surface of the spatial light modulation element.
Display apparatus having moving mechanism
A display apparatus includes: a housing including a top plate having an opening and two opposed side plate units; a display member capable of moving through the opening; a shutter configured to open and close the opening; and a moving mechanism provided on at least one of the two side plate units, the moving mechanism including a first slide member and a second slide member each moving along the at least one side plate unit and a transmission member transmitting an amount of movement of the first slide member to the second slide member while increasing the amount of movement, wherein the shutter moves according to movement of the second slide member.
Display device employing a virtual plane overlaying mechanical indicia
Display device is disclosed herein, and may be implementable in a variety of contexts, including a motor vehicle (for example, the instrument cluster). A semi-transparent plane is essentially placed in between a display and a mechanical element member. This allows a virtual projection of information over the mechanical plane in an on-state, while the mechanical element shows non-indicia during the off state.
Dashboard display and control method thereof
A dashboard display for a vehicle, and including a light source unit including a plurality of light sources disposed in a matrix form; a display unit configured to display speedometer information using light provided from the light source unit; a needle positioned on the speedometer information and rotatably moving according to a speed of the vehicle; and a processor configured to control the light source unit to emit a predetermined brightness in a region at least partially surrounding the needle, and vary the region at least partially surrounding the needle according to a position of the needle.
RECREATIONAL VEHICLE INTERACTIVE TELEMETRY, MAPPING AND TRIP PLANNING SYSTEM
An interactive system for use in connection with recreational vehicle usage includes a server system, including an off-road trail database containing trail data, trail condition information, and points-of-interest information, as well as a trip mapping system accessible by any of a plurality of riders, allowing a rider to create a route based on the data in the off-road trip database. The server system further includes a trail maintenance interface accessible by users affiliated with an authorized group to edit the trail data, trail condition information, and points-of-interest information associated with the authorized group. The server system includes a location data management system configured to receive location data, allowing a rider to publish location information to one or more other riders, and a user feedback interface configured to receive trip data from riders for publication, including information describing an actual route and user data associated with that route.
VEHICLE LUMINOUS GLAZING, VEHICLE INCORPORATING IT
A vehicle luminous signaling glazing forming, for example, a laminated vehicle windshield includes a first exterior glazing, with first main face and second main face, a lamination interlayer made of polymeric material with an other edge face, a second interior glazing, with third main face and fourth main face, the second main face and the third main face being the internal faces of the laminated glazing. The glazing also includes a flexible carrier for the diodes including a diode zone, an emerging electrical supply zone emerging from the other edge face, divided into a plurality of track strips, carrying electrical tracks, with an individual width Wi of less than 5 cm.
Display device comprising first and second viewing angle control panels and a polarization axis rotation element between the first viewing angle control panel and a display panel
According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel configured to modulate a first polarization component, a first viewing angle control panel including a first liquid crystal layer containing twisted liquid crystal molecules, a second viewing angle control panel including a second liquid crystal layer containing twisted liquid crystal molecules, and a polarization axis rotation element provided between the first viewing angle control panel and the display panel. A second polarization axis of a second polarization component which passed through the first viewing angle control panel is different from a first polarization axis of the first polarization component. The polarization axis rotation element is configured to rotate the second polarization axis.
