IMPACT PROTECTION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN IMPACT PROTECTION DEVICE
An impact protection device for an occupant of a motor vehicle in a vehicle interior, including a display device with a display, with which an airbag arrangement is associated, and at least one airbag, which is filled with gas and deploys when the impact protection device is activated. The display device includes a printed circuit board, which is arranged in a housing of the display device behind a display panel. The printed circuit board is combined with the display panel and the airbag arrangement arranged behind the printed circuit board in the housing, such that the printed circuit board with the display panel moves away from the housing when the impact protection device is activated.
USER INTERFACE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING USER INTERFACE APPARATUS, AND VEHICLE
A user interface apparatus for a vehicle includes: a circuit part injection-molded body formed in an insert injection process in which first resin melt is injected while a circuit part is inserted; and a cover part injection-molded body coupled to the circuit part injection-molded body, and formed in an insert injection process in which second resin melt is injected while a cover part is inserted. The circuit part includes: a light emitting unit; a touch sensor that detects a touch input; and at least one processor that controls the light emitting unit in response to an event to generate light; activates the touch sensor in response to generation of the light; and generates a signal for controlling a vehicle device in response to a touch input. The cover part allows light generated by the light emitting unit to pass therethrough and illuminate a shape on the cover part.
Instrument cluster gauge
A dial gauge assembly includes a single circuit board that supports light emitting diodes for both illuminating a pointer and backlighting a liquid crystal display. The dial gauge assembly controls illumination of the pointer by switching on and off a plurality of segments disposed within the LCD.
ROTARY SWITCH
Rotary switches and associated methods. A rotary switch can include one or more arcuate passages which are prone to ingress of particulate or liquid contaminants. A gasket, a rib, and/or a lubricant reservoir can be provided in the arcuate passages for blocking ingress of contaminants to an interior of the switch.
Electronic device and operating assembly having an electronic device
An electronic device includes a housing, a conductive foil, an elastomer body, and a strip composed of a non-elastomeric plastic. The conductive foil is electrically connected to the housing and has a functional section situated outside of the housing. The functional section of the conductive foil has a front side bearing sensors and/or display elements and is installable to a control panel. The elastomer body and the strip are positioned between an outer side of the housing and a back side of the functional section of the conductive foil.
MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATING DEVICE WITH SOUND-GENERATING SWITCHING ELEMENT
An operating device includes a casing, an operating button arranged at the casing for the manual actuation of the operating device, and a printed circuit board that is arranged in the casing. A switching element is mechanically coupled to the operating button and arranged on the printed circuit board. The switching element produces a pronounced sound when the operating button is actuated. To this end, next to the switching element, the printed circuit board is mechanically connected to the casing by at least one support element and each support element is designed to stabilize the printed circuit board against a tremor that is produced by the switching element when producing the sound.
Control panel intended to be arranged inside the passenger compartment of a vehicle and control assembly comprising the control panel
A control panel having: a trim element having a first outer face and a first inner face; a support element having a second outer face oriented towards the first inner face of the trim element and a second inner face opposite to said second outer face; and a group of force sensors configured for detecting a control force applied to the first outer face within a control area. The support element has, within a detection area extending around the group of control areas, a mechanical weakening formed by a recess in the second inner face.
Display with photon recycling cavity
A display includes a first housing portion having graphic openings therein, a second housing portion spaced apart from the first housing portion and a first circuit board having a plurality of light emitting diodes. The first circuit board is disposed between the first housing portion and the second housing. The first housing portion and the second housing portion form a first photon recycling cavity having the plurality of light emitting diodes disposed therein so that light from the plurality of light emitting diodes is indirectly communicated through the graphic opening after reflecting within the photon cavity.
Head-Up Display With a Contactlessly Contacted Conveyor Belt-Like Display Area, in Particular for a Vehicle
A projection unit for a field-of-view display device designed to superimpose, via reflection, a virtual image on a reflection pane, in particular a vehicle pane, arranged in the field of view of a user, includes at least one rectangular imaging display area arranged in or below a top side of an instrument panel of a vehicle and formed by a mechanically movable belt with at least one light source bar fastened thereon which extends across its direction of belt movement and carries strung-together light sources in its direction of extent. The light sources are contactlessly controllable synchronously with the belt movement and independently of one another for creating a desired display content in the display area. At least one receiver circuit board is fastened to the belt and electrically connected to the light sources. At least one associated transmitter circuit board is arranged stationarily in the projection unit in a manner mechanically decoupled from the belt and designed for contactless power and video signal transfer to the light sources via the at least one receiver circuit board.
Capacitive touch textiles and vehicle applications
A vehicle interface system is disclosed. The system includes a conductive textile 100 and circuitry 408. The conductive textile 100 is configured to provide user input information, wherein the user input information is in response to contact with the conductive textile. The circuitry 408 is configured to analyze the user input information, identify a user input based on the user input information, and determine an associated command based on the identified user input.
