Method and device for assisting a parking maneuver

Methods and devices assist in a parking maneuver of a vehicle. The vehicle includes a parking aid that produces a first signal. The first signal is perceptible in an interior of the vehicle during a parking maneuver. A signal property of the first signal is adapted to a currently prevailing distance of the vehicle from a parking obstruction. The first signal is converted into a second signal that is perceptible by an operator located outside the vehicle. The second signal is transmitted to the operator disposed outside the vehicle during a remotely-controlled performance of the parking maneuver.

Virtual Human-Machine Interface System and Corresponding Virtual Human-Machine Interface Method for a Vehicle

A virtual human-machine interface system for a vehicle including at least one projection surface disposed within the vehicle and a corresponding virtual human-machine interface method for a vehicle are provided. The virtual human-machine interface system comprises at least one micro-mirror projection device for projecting an image on the at least one projection surface, at least one sensor for detecting commands given by a user by determining the position of a part of the user's body within the vehicle, and a control unit for controlling the human-machine interface system. The position of the image projected by the at least one projection device within the vehicle may be modified by a specific command given by the user.

VIBRATION CONTROL DEVICE

A vibration control device which can make a user recognize a vibration by using a plurality of vibration units appropriately is provided. In a first vibration pattern, by interposing a low-vibration period (Ti) between a first standard vibration period (T1) and a second standard vibration period (T2), a user recognizes more easily a vibration by a vibration unit which vibrates in the second standard vibration period (T2). Therefore, even when the user's weight acts on the vibration unit which vibrates in the second standard vibration period (T2) lightly, the vibration of this vibration unit is easily recognized.

Methods, systems and computer program products for identifying non-standard driving behavior are provided. Aspects include receiving, from one or more sensors associated with a vehicle, vehicle operation data for a vehicle driving environment associated with the vehicle, analyzing the vehicle operation data to identify one or more other vehicles engaged in non-standard operation, and overlaying, on a display, an alert indicia highlighting the one or more other vehicles.

Warning output device

A warning output device includes a rear sensor unit and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to, when a shift position is an R range, based on information from the sensor unit indicating that a first obstacle is detected, output a warning for informing an occupant of the presence of the first obstacle, in a first state, output first predetermined warning display and first predetermined warning sound; and in a second state, output second predetermined warning display and second predetermined warning sound. The ECU is configured to, in the second state, output the second predetermined warning sound for a predetermined time, then stop the output of the second predetermined warning sound, and output the second predetermined warning display for a longer time than the second predetermined warning sound.

A method for displaying in a transportation vehicle braking operations of transportation vehicles driving ahead wherein the transportation vehicles driving ahead are detected; data are collected on the acceleration of the transportation vehicles driving ahead; and, from the data on the acceleration, first transportation vehicles driving ahead with a first acceleration are determined, the first acceleration being a negative acceleration, the magnitude of which is greater than or equal to a specified threshold value. On a display area, first graphical objects are generated, each first transportation vehicle driving ahead being assigned a first graphical object which indicates that the first transportation vehicle driving ahead assigned to the first graphical object has the first acceleration. Also disclosed is a device for displaying accelerations of transportation vehicles driving ahead in a transportation vehicle.

DISPLAY DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE

A display device for a vehicle, comprising an electro-optical display and a position detection device which is used to determine the position of eyes of a driver of the vehicle, wherein a multiplicity of different items of information are displayed by the electro-optical display device and are perceived by the driver of the vehicle is disclosed. Provision is made for there to be a viewing direction detector for determining the driver's viewing direction, which is used to determine which information of the multiplicity of different items of information are perceived by the driver, and, depending on the perceived information, for the perceived information to be able to be enlarged and/or for additional information relating to the perceived information to be able to be displayed. A method for displaying information on a display device in a vehicle is also disclosed.

System and method for in-vehicle display with integrated object detection

System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to improving situational awareness of occupants of a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes analyzing, using at least a processor of the vehicle, scan data from a sensor of the vehicle to detect at least one object within the surrounding environment. The method includes converting the scan data into converted data that represents the at least one object with a reduced quantity of data. The method includes rendering, using the converted data, at least one graphic that is a visual representation of the at least one object. The method includes displaying the at least one graphic within a display of the vehicle at a location within the display that represents a location of the at least one object relative to the vehicle in the surrounding environment.
