The system may include a memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the system to: establish a peer-to-peer video stream between a mobile client device and the vehicle; generate live video data for providing a video stream for causing a screen of the mobile client device to display visual content of the 3D HUD that includes substantially live images depicting what the driver of the vehicle sees when looking at the 3D HUD; and stream the live video data to the mobile client device to cause the screen of the mobile client device to display the video stream that depicts what the driver of the vehicle sees when looking at the 3D HUD.

If it is detected that the driver and the front-seat passenger of the motor vehicle both would like to operate the display device, the display device is put in a third operating mode in which the graphic user interface is displayed in the driver-side display region and at least part of the graphic user interface is additionally also displayed in the front-seat-passenger-side display region.

Cognitive load driving assistant

In one embodiment, a cognitive load driving assistant increases driving safety based on cognitive loads. In operation, the cognitive load driving assistant computes a current cognitive load of a driver based on sensor data. If the current cognitive load exceeds a threshold cognitive load, then the cognitive load driving assistant modifies the driving environment to reduce the cognitive load required to perform the primary driving task and/secondary task(s), such as texting via a cellular phone. The cognitive load driving assistant may modify the driving environment indirectly via sensory feedback to the driver or directly through reducing the complexity of the primary driving task and/or secondary tasks. In particular, if the driver is exhibiting elevated cognitive loads typically associated with distracted driving, then the cognitive load driving assistant modifies the driving environment to allow the driver to devote appropriate mental resources to the primary driving task, thereby increasing driving safety.

An embodiment has a virtual image optical system in which a flat display forming video image information is arranged, and that includes a projected member for causing virtual images to be displayed at a plurality of positions ahead of a vehicle by reflecting a video image on the flat display, thereby forming the virtual images at the plurality of positions so as to correspond to a viewpoint position of a driver. The virtual image optical system is arranged so that video image light fluxes for establishing the respective virtual images are separated from and independent of one another between the flat display and a concave mirror, and is configured by arranging different optical elements so as to correspond to the respective light fluxes.

One or more information maps are obtained by an agricultural work machine. The one or more information maps map one or more agricultural characteristic values at different geographic locations of a field. An in-situ sensor on the agricultural work machine senses an agricultural characteristic as the agricultural work machine moves through the field. A predictive map generator generates a predictive map that predicts a predictive agricultural characteristic at different locations in the field based on a relationship between the values in the one or more information maps and the agricultural characteristic sensed by the in-situ sensor. The predictive map can be output and used in automated machine control.
