METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR SELECTING A FUNCTION OF AN INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM OF A TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE
An infotainment system to which data is transmitted including contact data, such as telephone numbers or addresses, or multimedia data, such as audio or video data. The origin of the transmitted data is a mobile terminal, download from a database, an NFC tag or a QR code. Following reception of the data on the infotainment system, the infotainment system checks whether the transmitted data is associated with one of the functions of the infotainment system, a navigation function, and/or a reproduction function for audio and/or video data. If the transmitted data is associated with on the functions of the infotainment system, the infotainment system offers those functions with which the data can be associated to a user of the transportation vehicle for use.
Integrity of Data Records
Methods and apparatuses of securing integrity of data collected in a data storage arrangement for an object are disclosed. Data storage apparatus is provided with data relating to the object, at least a part of the data originating from a data processing entity provided in connection with the object. The data storage apparatus processes, upon receipt of the data, the received data by storing the data in the data storage apparatus and computing a first digital signature for the data. The data storage apparatus sends the first digital signature to a distributed ledger for later use in verification of the data. When the data is provided from the data storage apparatus for presentation by at least one user device a second digital signature is computed for the data for use in verification of the integrity of the data based on the first digital signature stored in the distributed ledger.
Dynamic application execution for automobile and cloud hybrid environments
Embodiments are directed towards providing a dynamic application environment where separate components of an application can execute on separate processing hardware at any given point in time. A host device monitors current operating characteristics associated with a computing device, such a head unit of an automobile, and based on those characteristics selects which components of one or more applications to execute on the computing device and which components to execute on the host device, if any. The host device provides the selected components to the computing device for execution by the computing device and the host device executes any other components that are not executed by the computing device. The host device monitors the current operating characteristics associated with the computing device, and modifies the selection of which components are executing on which device based on changes in current operating characteristics.

A method of providing one or more selectable vehicle tasks to one or more vehicles, comprising the steps of: receiving from each of a plurality of vehicle users at least one user-defined task to be carried out by the user's vehicle, wherein the user-defined task comprises at least one vehicle action and a conditional statement, wherein the conditional statement comprises of one or more vehicle conditions; grouping the received user-defined tasks into equivalency classes, wherein different user-defined tasks that have logically equivalent conditional statements and equivalent vehicle actions are grouped into the same equivalency class; analyzing the equivalency classes; selecting at least one vehicle task based on the analysis in step (c); and sending the selected vehicle task(s) to one or more vehicles for presentation to a user at the vehicle(s).

Vehicle intelligent assistant using contextual data
The present disclosure is directed to methods and apparatus that may collect data from at a vehicle. Data may be collected by connecting to a port of an on board diagnostic bus at the vehicle or this data may be received via a wireless communication interface. Collected data may be stored at a database and this data may be analyzed to identify whether a person at a vehicle is authorized to access or drive the vehicle. This collected data may also be analyzed to identify faults that may occur at a vehicle and recommendations to responding those faults may be provided to a driver of the vehicle via a user interface such as a speaker or display at the vehicle.
