Autonomous vehicle interaction system
Windows including sunroofs of a car may be enabled to display cinematic video, still pictures, opaque content, or picturesque content such as the countryside to simulate various environments while driving. On the outside of the autonomous vehicle advertising content may be shown on digital displays to pedestrians, bystanders, and other vehicle, autonomous vehicle or semi-autonomous vehicle passengers. Advertising revenue may offset vehicle leasing, maintenance, fuel, and ridesharing costs. Ad networks may send local offers content for presentation on the vehicle, autonomous vehicle or semi-autonomous vehicle's windows. Passengers may order food and interact with ads on the car window. The car windows may be multi-touch enabled to allow for various gestures and interactivity with the vehicle, autonomous vehicle or semi-autonomous vehicle. Chairs in the car may be rotated to allow for better positioning of the passenger to window screens.
Vehicle shade assembly
A vehicle shade assembly includes a vehicle body structure, a cover supporting structure, a cover material, an electronic display and a controller. The vehicle body structure defines an opening with a transparent material installed within the opening. The cover supporting structure is installed to the vehicle body structure adjacent to the opening. The cover material is supported to the cover supporting structure and is movable from a closed orientation covering the opening and the transparent material and an open orientation exposing the opening and the transparent material. The electronic display is installed to the cover material for movement therewith. The controller is configured to operate the display to display content thereon.
Transparent member for automobile interior parts
The present invention relates to a transparent member for an automotive interior part. In one embodiment, the transparent member for the automotive interior part includes: a light source; an optical pattern layer formed over the light source; and a first light-transmitting skin layer formed on the optical pattern layer and including about 1 part by weight to about 25 parts of a first inorganic filler dispersed in 100 parts by weight of a first transparent resin matrix, wherein the first inorganic filler includes spherical calcium carbonate (CaCO.sub.3).
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMOTIVE VARIABLE IMPEDANCE TOUCH SENSOR ARRAY
The present invention relates to automotive interface systems and methods. In one embodiment, an automotive interface system includes a steering wheel and an integrated interpolated variable impedance array that comprises a grid of sensing elements. The sensing elements are configured to power on simultaneously and to simultaneously generate multiple currents along multiple current paths in response to sensing a touch wherein the amount of current generated by a sensing element of the grid is directly proportional to the force applied by the touch. The automotive interface system also includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a processor communicatively coupled to the interpolated variable impedance array that are configured to receive the multiple currents along multiple current paths and determine a location, a duration, an area, and a force of the touch from the multiple currents along multiple current paths.
Method for presenting information upon starting an automotive vehicle
A method for presenting information upon starting an automotive vehicle includes at least one step in which various parameters associated with the vehicle are verified. Also included is a step in which a particular light beam is projected onto a specific area of the passenger compartment of the vehicle when the state of a plurality of verified parameters allows the vehicle to be started.
Multi-position electronic smart sunshade
A deployable display for use in a vehicle is provided. The deployable display can be positioned in a plurality of stowed or a plurality of deployed positions, wherein the deployable display functions as a sun visor located in front of a windshield of the vehicle when it is in a first one of the plurality of deployed positions and when the deployable display is in a second one of the plurality of deployed positions or the first one of the plurality of deployed positions the deployable display functions as a screen that provides images from a controller operatively coupled to the deployable display.
DISPLAY DEVICE FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
A display device for an autonomous vehicle includes a display unit mounted in a ceiling of the vehicle and including at least one display; and a position adjustment unit configured to move a position of at least one display of the display unit. The at least one display of the display unit is moved by the position adjustment unit between a first position in which a screen is disposed toward a ceiling or floor of the vehicle and a second position in which a screen is disposed toward each of seats facing each other. At least one display of the display unit is disposed such that the screen faces the front and the rear of the vehicle at the second position.
VEHICULAR DISPLAY DEVICE AND ROOF MODULE
A vehicular display device according to an embodiment includes a light shielding housing fixed to a surface of a roof of a vehicle on a cabin side and having a concave portion concave upward, an opening portion formed at a position facing a rear of the vehicle in the concave portion, and a display device having a display surface disposed in the opening portion with the display surface directed to the rear of the vehicle.
CONSOLE WITH GROUNDED TRIM RING
A vehicle console includes a trim ring disposed over a periphery of a housing. The trim ring includes a polymeric material and is electrically conductive and grounded. A proximity switch assembly is retained in the housing. The proximity switch assembly includes a proximity sensor proximate a sensing pad for generating an activation field. The sensing pad is proximate the trim ring.
CONSOLE ASSEMBLIES
A console assembly for a vehicle according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a touch-sensitive panel providing at least one touch-sensitive switch, and a circuit electrically connected to the at least one switch. The circuit is configured to receive one or more inputs from the touch-sensitive panel and issue commands to control one or more aspects of the vehicle.
