A display device attachable to a vehicle roof construction, comprises: at least one foldable display having first and a second display parts, a first drive system mounted to the roof construction for moving the display into a substantially horizontal orientated stored folded position, and into an operational unfolded position. In their operational position, the first display part is above the second display part, seen in a vertical direction and such that a flexible display part connects the first and second display parts. The display part can show a part of an image and connects the first and second display parts such that a visually uninterrupted image across the whole image producing side of the display may be observed by the occupants. The first drive system comprises an electric motor, a gear device driven by the electric motor and being capable of rotatably driving the first and second display part.

Roof console for a vehicle

Roof console for a vehicle including at least one touch-slide operating element for operating vehicle functions. A surface of at least one touch-slide operating element is recessed or raised in relation to the surrounding surface. The base area of the recess or raised portion may correspond to the touch-sensitive input region of the touch-slide operating element. Two touch-slide operating elements, of the same length, may be provided directly adjacent to one another in respective recesses or on respective raised portions, separated by a demarcation. The demarcation may be formed as a rib, between two touch-slide operating elements situated in a recess, and as a gap, between touch-slide operating elements situated on a raised portion.

CAPACITIVE SENSOR AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH DECORATIVE CONDUCTIVE COMPONENT

A capacitive sensor and switch assembly is provided. The assembly includes a first electrode forming a decorative conductive component on a vehicle, and a second electrode dielectrically isolated from the first electrode and electrically coupled therewith to generate an activation field. The assembly also includes a dielectric layer disposed between the first and second electrodes, and a controller for processing a signal generated from the activation field and sensing an object, wherein the controller determines activation of a switch based on the signal generated from the activation field.

HEAD-UP DISPLAY DEVICE

The present invention relates to a vehicle display device comprising: a display unit comprising a transparent flexible display disposed in a state of being rolled around a certain axis; a driving unit for adjusting the length of a region, of the transparent flexible display, exposed inside the vehicle; and a processor for controlling the driving unit and controlling the display of a picture on the transparent flexible display.

Vehicle display device

A vehicle display device includes: a display unit in a shape of a rectangular film, the display unit being configured to be advanced from and withdrawn into a ceiling of a vehicle cabin; a lower edge reinforcing portion located at a lower edge of the display unit, the lower edge reinforcing portion reinforcing the lower edge of the display unit; and a support mechanism configured to be extended and retracted according to an amount by which the display unit protrudes beyond the ceiling, and configured to support the display unit.

Roof console for a vehicle

A roof console for a vehicle has at least one touch-slide operating element for controlling functional elements of the vehicle. A touch-slide operating element in the sense of this application is a touch-sensitive operating element with a one-dimensional extent. As a result of the one-dimensional extent, the operating elements can beneficially recognize gestures in the form of tapping and swiping which permits excellent blind operation. The swiping movements can also be detected in both directions of the one-dimensional extent.

Vehicular sensing and control system for overhead console

A vehicular sensing and control system includes a sensor module having (i) a switch face, (ii) a force sensing sensor, (iii) a haptic feedback device, and (iv) a microcontroller. Responsive to a user applying a first finger force the switch face, a first signal generated by the force sensing sensor is provided to the microcontroller. The microcontroller, based on the first signal, causes the haptic feedback device to generate a first haptic feedback associated with a first function of the vehicle and controls the first function of the vehicle. Responsive to the driver applying a second finger force to the switch face, a second signal generated by the force sensing sensor is provided to the microcontroller. The microcontroller, based on the second signal, causes the haptic feedback device to generate a second haptic feedback associated with a second function of the vehicle and controls the second function of the vehicle.

AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE SEAT POSITIONING SYSTEM
20180244175 · 2018-08-30 · ·

An autonomous vehicle seat positioning system has a controller connected to a display, a control panel and a positioning mechanism of a vehicle seat assembly. The controller operates in a position saving mode and a position selecting mode. In the position saving mode, positioning inputs made by the first occupant are saved in memory as a first upright setting corresponding to the first occupant manually driving the vehicle. Positioning inputs made by the first occupant of the vehicle seat assembly are also saved in memory as a first relaxation setting corresponding to the first occupant viewing the display with the vehicle operating in a self-driving mode. In the position selecting mode, the controller operates the positioning mechanism to move the vehicle seat assembly to positions corresponding the first upright setting or the first relaxation setting.
