OPERATING DEVICE FOR A TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE
An operating device for a transportation vehicle having at least one touch-sensitive operating area to display at least one operating symbol and to actuate at least one window lifter. The operating device, viewed from an imaginary installed state in the transportation vehicle, has an upper face and a front face adjoining the upper face, at least one touch-sensitive operating area for actuating a window lifter that is on at least part of the upper face and also on at least part of the front face.
Display device and method for fabricating the same
A display device includes a window and a display panel coupled to a bottom surface of the window. The display panel has a substantially regular tetragonal shape or a substantially rectangular shape in a plan view, and the window includes a base member and a bezel layer on a bottom surface of the base member. Between one and three light-transmissive main alignment marks and a transmission area having a different shape than that of the display panel are defined in the bezel layer, and each of the main alignment marks is arranged at a position corresponding to a vertex of the display panel or at a position corresponding to a vertex of an imaginary regular tetragon or of an imaginary rectangle that has the same center point as the display panel and that is larger than the display panel.
VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPONENT
A vehicle interior component configured to provide a user interface for vehicle systems is disclosed. The component may comprise a composite structure comprising a cover to facilitate transmission of light (e.g. light-transmissive material), a sensor to detect input at or adjacent to the cover, a light panel/display to provide illumination through the cover, a functional layer and a positioning layer. The display may provide illumination through the cover. The user interface may be configured for input at the cover detected by the sensor and/or output from the display presented at least partially through the cover. The composite structure may comprise a substrate and/or may be configured in a contoured shape. The functional layer may comprise a diffuser. The positioning layer may comprise a foam material and/or a spacer fabric. A method of operating the user interface provided by the composite structure is also disclosed.
System and methods for exterior vehicle display
An exterior display apparatus for a vehicle comprises a first display panel in connection with a first door trim portion and a second display panel in connection with a second door trim portion. The first and second door trim portions are adjacent to each other. Each of the display panels comprises a touch sensor and a heater layer distributed over a corresponding display surface.
Method for presenting information upon starting an automotive vehicle
A method for presenting information upon starting an automotive vehicle includes at least one step in which various parameters associated with the vehicle are verified. Also included is a step in which a particular light beam is projected onto a specific area of the passenger compartment of the vehicle when the state of a plurality of verified parameters allows the vehicle to be started.
Vehicle door interface interactions
Techniques for interacting with authorized and unauthorized users by a door interface component are discussed herein. A vehicle computing device can implement the door interface component and/or an authentication component to control operation of a door of the vehicle or initiate a communication for assistance. For instance, the door interface component can include a button, that provides different visual indicators and functionality based on whether the user is authorized to enter the autonomous vehicle (e.g., open a door or provide visual indicators for the user to select to cause the door to open) or to request to move the vehicle, initiate hiring the vehicle, or call for help when the user is unauthorized to enter the autonomous vehicle.
Soft upper trim for switch assembly of vehicle door and method of manufacturing the same
Provided is a soft upper trim of a vehicle door, in which an upper substrate, a foam, and a transparent skin are laminated, and particularly, to a soft upper trim for switch assembly of a vehicle door, in which a switch, which is configured to preserve continuity of a transparent skin and display lock and unlock symbols on the transparent skin, is easily assembled to an upper substrate, and a method of manufacturing the same.
INFORMATION PRESENTATION DEVICE
A human machine interface is configured to select an information display destination from among a plurality of display areas. The HCU acquires a sight line direction of a driver based on an image of an in-vehicle camera. The HCU displays, upon detecting a hop-off action of the driver based on an output signal of an in-vehicle sensor in a situation in which an attention target event such as a puddle, a step, other vehicle or the like exists on a road surface near a door of a driver's seat, in the display area corresponding to the driver's sight line direction, text or an image practically indicating (a) a content of an attention target event or (b) how to deal with a situation.
Multifunctional switch system for autonomous vehicle and operating method thereof
A multifunctional switch system for an autonomous vehicle may include a plurality of docking stations in the interior of the autonomous vehicle, sets an operation mode of a mobile operation device for each of positions of the plurality of docking stations, and operates in an operation mode corresponding to the position of the docking station as the mobile operation device is docked to the docking station to enable a driver in the autonomous vehicle to conveniently operate various convenience devices regardless of the driver's location, and an operating method thereof.
