A vehicle logo-based controller is provided. The logo can include buttons. A system can include one or more processors communicatively coupled with memory and the logo. The system can detect one or more inputs from the buttons. The system can compare the one or more detected inputs with one or more stored inputs to determine a match. The system can determine, responsive to the comparison, a function of a vehicle, such as unlocking a compartment.

DETERMINING HORIZONTAL CLEARANCE FOR A VEHICLE
20250162605 · 2025-05-22 ·

A system for determining horizontal clearance for a vehicle includes a ranging sensor configured to measure a distance between the vehicle and an object in an environment surrounding the vehicle. The system further may include a human-machine interface (HMI). The system further may include a controller in electrical communication with the ranging sensor and the HMI. The controller is programmed to determine an available clearance distance between a door of the vehicle and the object in the environment surrounding the vehicle using the ranging sensor. The controller is further programmed to compare the available clearance distance to one or more predetermined clearance distance thresholds. The controller is further programmed to provide information to an occupant of the vehicle using the HMI based at least in part on the available clearance distance and the one or more predetermined clearance distance thresholds.

Display devices

A display device that includes a display element including a light source, and a surface film disposed so as to overlap with the display element and including a thermoplastic elastomer composition, the thermoplastic elastomer composition satisfying conditions (1) and (2) below, and the surface film satisfying conditions (3) and (4) below: (1) The melt flow rate (ASTM D1238, 230 C., 2.16 kg load; MFR) is not less than 30 g/10 min. (2) The type A hardness (momentary value) measured by a method in accordance with JIS K6253 is 60 to 90. (3) The thickness is not less than 300 m and not more than 2 mm. (4) The total light transmittance measured by a method in accordance with JIS K7361 is 3 to 60%.

Vehicle and method of controlling the same

A vehicle includes a display, a mode setter determining a visual information provision target of an image displayed on the display according to a driving status and setting forward orientation of the image on the display according to the visual information provision target, and a display controller selecting an image corresponding to the driving status and displaying the image on the display after adjusting the forward orientation of the selected image to the inward direction, outward direction, or both directions of the display according to the forward orientation set by the mode setter.

System and method for controlling a stop function or a door opening function of a vehicle

A system controls a stop function or a door opening function of a vehicle. The system includes an actuating element which is designed to generate an actuation signal depending on an actuation by a vehicle occupant, and a control device which is designed to receive the actuation signal and, in response to receiving the actuation signal and depending on a travel velocity of the vehicle, to trigger either the stop function or the door opening function.

MOTION SICKNESS REDUCING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REDUCING MOTION SICKNESS

There is provided a motion sickness reducing apparatus capable of providing visual information to an individual on a vehicle as to how much he or she is tilted to the horizontal (as a result, motion sickness caused by sense of balance can be reduced.). The motion sickness reducing apparatus includes a display device that is provided in a riding space of a vehicle having the riding space in which an individual rides and displays a horizontal line extending in a horizontal direction orthogonal to a gravity direction of the vehicle in a riding space regardless of a tilt of the vehicle.

Systems and methods for enhanced vehicle valet mode

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for an enhanced valet mode for vehicles. An example method may include receiving, by a vehicle, a request for a temporary valet passcode. The example method may also include determining, that a passive entry passive start (PEPS) key fob is not present inside the vehicle. The example method may also include presenting a request for a second passcode. The example method may also include determining that the second passcode has been input. The example method may also include determining that the second passcode matches a pre-established passcode that is stored in memory of the vehicle. The example method may also include generating, using an enhanced valet mode, a first temporary valet passcode based on the determination that the second passcode matches a pre-established passcode that is stored in the memory.
