20220410718 · 2022-12-29 ·

A motor control system and a vehicle. The motor control system includes: a vehicle control unit, configured to obtain vehicle state data and output an instruction for cutting off motor output torque when determining an unexpected power transmission failure according to the vehicle state data; and a motor controller unit, connected to the vehicle control unit, and configured to stop outputting motor control torque in response to the instruction for cutting off motor output torque.

PLUG-IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES WITH DERATED TRACTION CONTROL UPON SYSTEM FAULTS

A method for controlling the distribution of power to a traction motor in a plug-in electric vehicle having a plurality of on-board sources of electric power. Power is distributed at a normal power control relationship in response to an operator control input during operation in a normal mode. Power is depleted at a first rate during operation of the vehicle in the normal mode. Power is distributed at a derate power control relationship in response to the operator control input during operation in a derate mode. Power is depleted at a second rate that is less than the first rate during operation in the derate mode to conserve the power of the one or more on-board sources. Operation in the derate mode can be initiated in response to information from sensors identifying a vehicle condition indicating a battery charge limitation.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE FLUID HEATING SYSTEM

A fluid heating system for an electric work machine powered by a battery may include a fluid heater arranged and configured to heat fluid on the work machine and a control module configured to control fluid heating operations by controlling power to the fluid heater based on active operation of a battery charging unit.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DIAGNOSING MOTOR PHASE CONNECTIONS
20220396151 · 2022-12-15 ·

Testing connections to phase windings of an electric motor upon startup includes, prior to entering a RUN state in which motor power commands are accepted from a user to perform work, applying to each respective phase of the electric motor a respective test voltage signal, measuring in each respective phase a respective current induced by the respective test voltage signal, and preventing entry into the RUN state when at least one values representative of a respective current is below the respective predetermined threshold.

TRACTOR

When it is determined that a tractor is located in a farm field, a first handling process of performing a first treatment for handling an abnormality when a first condition has been satisfied and a second handling process of performing a second treatment for handling an abnormality when a second condition has been satisfied are performed. The first condition is a condition that is satisfied when the second condition has been satisfied and that is satisfied in some situations in which the second condition has not been satisfied.

CONTROL APPARATUS FOR IN-WHEEL MOTOR VEHICLE
20220396157 · 2022-12-15 · ·

In a control apparatus for an in-wheel motor vehicle equipped with a motor provided in a tire wheel, at least one sensor provided in a case accommodating the motor, an electric power supply provided on a vehicle body and an electrical storage device that stores electric power, a controller provided on the vehicle body to control the motor, a power cable that connects the motor to the electric power supply and the electrical storage device, and a sensor cable that connects the sensor and the controller to each other, the controller is configured to perform disconnection control for discharging the electric power stored in the electrical storage device to an extra device when the sensor cable is disconnected.

MOTOR CONTROL SYSTEM AND VEHICLE WITH SAME

The present disclosure provides an electric motor control system and a vehicle. The electric motor control system includes a motor drive module, a multi-core processing module, and a safety logic module. The multi-core processing module includes a main function core and a lockstep monitoring core. The main function core is configured to obtain sampling data, and when any one of the sampling data, a running status of the main function core, a motor control signal, and a running status of a motor is abnormal, the lockstep monitoring core outputs a safety trigger signal; and the safety logic module is configured to output an instruction for prohibiting execution of the motor control signal to the motor drive module when receiving the safety trigger signal.

ABNORMALITY DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM AND ABNORMALITY DIAGNOSIS METHOD
20220388400 · 2022-12-08 · ·

An abnormality diagnosis system performs an abnormality diagnosis of a plurality of motor systems that include a motor for moving a moving body. The abnormality diagnosis system identifies a comparison target system that is the motor system, among the motor systems, that is a comparison target in relation to a diagnosis target system that is the motor system to be a target of the abnormality diagnosis. The abnormality diagnosis system acquires a state-related value that is a value related to an operation state of the motor from each of the diagnosis target system and the comparison target system. The abnormality diagnosis system performs a comparison of the state-related value that is acquired from the diagnosis target system and the state-related value that is acquired from the comparison target system, and diagnoses a presence or absence of an abnormality in the diagnosis target system using a result of the comparison.

Electric vehicle controller

A drive control system controls travel of an electric vehicle, the drive control system including a plurality of induction motors, one inverter that drives the plurality of induction motors, and a controller that controls the inverter. The controller includes a coupling disconnection detecting unit that calculates an estimated torque value on the basis of a total current and a voltage command value at the start of the induction motors, and detects disconnection of a coupling provided between the induction motors and a drive mechanism of the electric vehicle on the basis of the estimated torque value calculated and a torque command value.

PROPULSION TORQUE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM PROVIDING REMEDIAL ACTION

A propulsion torque distribution system for a vehicle includes a controller in electronic communication with a plurality of vehicle systems. The controller executes instructions to receive at least one or more computational faults, one or more sensor faults, and a driver torque request. In response to receiving at least one of the one or more computational faults and the one or more sensor faults, the controller determines a fault that affects calculation of a primary torque request has occurred. In response to determining the fault that affects calculation of the primary torque request has occurred, the controller determines a severity of the fault. The controller determines a remedial state based on the severity of the fault. The remedial state indicates a corresponding action that is executed by the propulsion torque distribution system.
