CURRENT COLLECTOR FOR AN ELECTRICALLY OR HYBRID-ELECTRICALLY POWERED ROAD VEHICLE
20240351444 · 2024-10-24 ·

A current collector for an electrically powered vehicle has an articulated supporting rod supporting a rocker assembly and a lifting drive. The supporting rod is a pantograph with a lower arm and an upper arm and an elbow joint. The rocker assembly has a rocker frame with mutually parallel upper and lower transverse beams. The beams are connected centrally by a center strut and on each end side by a lateral strut on swivel joints. The upper arm is connected on the contact wire side to the center strut via a rocker joint. The contact strips of the two contact poles are supported on the rocker frame symmetrically with respect to the center strut. In this way a current collector is provided by which, with a simpler construction, a consistent contact force can be achieved between contact strips and contact wires of the overhead line system.

NON-RAIL BOUND VEHICLE WITH A LATERALLY PIVOTABLE SLIDING STRIP ARRANGEMENT OF A CURRENT COLLECTOR

A non-rail bound, electrically or hybrid-electrically driven vehicle has a current collector for feeding electric traction energy from an overhead line system. The current collector has a sliding strip that is brought into sliding contact with a contact wire of the overhead line system above a travel lane. The sliding strip arrangement is pivotable transversely to a direction of travel. The vehicle has a limiter to at least unilaterally limit the transverse pivoting range of the sliding strip arrangement substantially to the width of the vehicle. A driver assistance system assists a driver in adhering to a virtual track within the marked lane. The track width and the pivoting range are dimensioned such that, when the track is adhered to, it is possible to maintain sliding contact between the sliding strip arrangement and the contact wire.

Current collector for a rail vehicle

A current collector for a rail vehicle intended for international transport includes a support bringing two contact strips into electrically conductive contact with a contact wire on the roof of the rail vehicle. Each contact strip has a first length and a contact strip extension at each end. Each contact strip extension is rotatably mounted and connected to a respective end of the contact strip. In a first position the contact strip extensions are hinged inwards, such that a resulting total length of the contact strip with the associated contact strip extensions corresponds to the first length of the contact strip. In a second position, the contact strip extensions are hinged outwards, such that the resulting total length of the contact strip with the associated contact strip extensions corresponds to a second length of the contact strip which is greater than the first length.

Relocatable base for elevated power rails and method of deployment

A modular structure supports elevated rail segments for delivering electrical power to a moving work machine, such as a hauler at a mining site. Opposite ends of a roadside barrier contain complementary tubular couplers arranged vertically, one having a first diameter supported by an arm and the other having a larger second diameter and a vertical slot. Couplers on adjacent barriers can be mated together concentrically along a central axis. The mated couplers help restrict longitudinal displacement, lateral displacement, slope change, and lateral rotation between adjacent barriers during placement. One barrier may be used as a temporary alignment structure to position barriers spaced alternatingly along a haul route for the work machine.

ROTATING CURRENT COLLECTOR

A rotating current collector includes a current collecting unit, an electrode unit, an upper gear unit and a lower gear unit. The current collecting unit makes contact with an overhead contact line. The electrode unit is connected to a lower portion of the current collecting unit. The upper gear unit is fixed to a lower portion of the electrode unit and has an upper gear. The lower gear unit has a lower gear meshing with the upper gear. The current collecting unit rotates in one direction as the upper gear and the lower gear mesh with each other.

Process and system for pole and conductor installation for charging while moving

Dynamic energy transfer (DET) systems are costly and time-consuming to install. Accordingly, an installation system is disclosed that comprises stowage for rail segments and poles, two strategically positioned cranes, and/or strategically positioned platforms, to enable less expensive and faster installation of the various components of a DET system. Installation, utilizing the installation system, can significantly decrease the cost of installation, while increasing the rate of installation and maintaining safety.
